I'm currently working on a 2 player texas holdem game written in BASIC. It runs suprisingly fast for a basic game. It will have all of the features that you would need to play a game of texas holdem such as Check, Call, Raise, and Fold. It will be just like haveing a deck of cards and playing, except without the cards and teachers can't yell at you for betting or playing cards at school. I want to get an idea of if it is worth the trouble to post it so please respond with any ideas or criticism.

Wild Gunman
|

|
I'm recreating the Classic NES game "Wild Gunman" for the TI-83 plus in assembly.
OBJECTIVE:
Your success in the game will basically depend on your reaction time. Although the NES version suppoted the light gun, there is no need for a cursor, because the outlaw only sits in the center of the screen and the NES game didn't even use the gun, it used the trigger. (it's a reaction game).
GAMEPLAY:
The trigger will be pulled with 2nd or Enter. You must fire AFTER the Outlaw draws, but BEFORE he shoots you. As the levels progress, his reaction time will decrease, making the firing window ever so smaller, making it harder to gain bonus or prograss through levels.
The game will include Game A - Outlaw (A quick game), and Game B - Gang (play until you lose 3 times).
GRAPHICS:
The game will be monochrome. The game will feature sprites that were taken directly from the NES game, but reduced in size to 75% and edited. The screens are set up in almost the exact likeness of the origional game (Except for Color and Resolution).

Okay assuming all of you don't "anticipate" BASIC games and that nobody was interested in my mediocre RPG game called Mystical (as the name may imply, the game is crap) I have thrown out the project and am now creating a better RPG that uses the d20 system found in many table top RPG games. I just started this one so expect it at the very EARLIEST in the spring of next year.

This new game will be called Global Wars International copyrighted by Lucky Ends Productions and MSH Games. It is a real-time program that is based on total war. There are several modes including Free Battle, 30 Campaign Missions, Multiplayer modes with OnLINE technology developed by L.E.P, World War mode with strategies, and upgrades can be purchased in shops. It is a full 3-D engine that is split with DupleX Technology where the bottom consists of the action and the top half of the screen has different other features like statistics, mission briefing, and commands. Players can command their other units in strategy with different commands and experience the most interactive environment game for the TI-83+ yet! This game was programmed in Assembly language by Michael Hergenrader in association with Lucky Ends Productions, and the release date will be announced. Wait! There is one more awesome feature! Due to linking errors on some calculators, the programming has allowed that if only one calculator has the program installed and both calculators are linked, the game still works with the OnLINE technology! Global Wars International will be available in an English, Spanish, French, German, and Dutch versions. Please submit all comments and questions about this game to mhergenrader@comcast.net! Thank you!

Morrowind
|
Tudor Achim
|
I am now currently working on a Morrowind game for TI-83+.
It will have a fully 3d wilderness. I've already drawn all of the pictures (about 35 of them) (this will require you to have custompics and zpics installed [zpics only if you want the pictures to load faster]). However, the only major hurdle left to jump is the fact that I don't know how to determine your location in the wilderness.
There are two ways that I know how to solve this, both with major drawbacks.
The first is to just use lots and lots and lots of If statements. Ex:{26 [column],49[row],1 [direction])
However, the 100's of If statements will slow the pace down to 1 pic/20 seconds.
The second is to use random numbers to see which scene to display. However, once you leave a town and turn around, it won't be there.
If anyone can help me with this I could get on with the development of more classes, weapons, armor, and spells. Email me at kinghunter4@hotmail.com
{some really cool anumations also :-))

I'm in the process of programing a remake of the orginal NES(Nintendo Entertainment System) game called Punch Out. Basicly it's a game were your a little guy at the bottome of the screen and you have a beat up the guy in front of you. I used the custompics asm programs storpic and callpic for the graphics and codex(just to turn off that annoying run indicator). I will post some screen shots as soon as i figure out how.

Hello all you inferior and unknowing people out there! I'm here to tell you about a *ahem* *ahem* 'text' and 'action' 'not such a RPG'.
It's called XERO XCAPE and it comes in 10 chapters I'll release them one at a time. The first comes with the battle engine and XERO XCAPE explorer to acess all the chapters. The entire point of the game is to stay alive, you fight in a party of eventually 3 in an RPG style but there's a good part, there is no level counter so if you so disire you can from the begging have the maximum 9999 health and 5000 magic points. each of the 6 charicters has their own special power to. A power is like an upgraded version of a magic attack. The game also features the AAM system witch is Active Attack and Magic system, what this does is use a formula to figure out your or your opponets attack. (ex. Kain's attack formula is 'ipart(HP/2)') The game should be released on Nov. umm... a week from this saturday. The entire game will be released 3 weeks from that. (all dates are based on bug free programming) And for all of you nice people out there heres the charicter list
Kain
Job Knight
Chapters 1-10
Attack ipart(HP/2)
Magic (MP*2)
Power (HP+MP)
Ryda
Job Healer
Chapters 2-6
Attack ipart(HP/10)
Magic +MP To Ryda
-MP To Opponet
Power +MP To each party member
-(MP*2) To Opponet
Xero
Job Dark Knight
Chapters 3-4
Attack ipart(HP/5)
Magic (MP*5)
Power (MP*MP)
Larc
Job Theif
Chapters 5-8
Attack HP
Magic MP
Power -(MP*2) to opponet
+(MP) to Larc
Mara
Job Summoner
Chapters 7-10
Attack ipart(HP/5)
Magic (MP*2)
Power (MP*100)
Edge
Job Ninja
Chapters 9-10
Attack (HP*2)
Magic (MP*2)
Power ((HP*10)+(MP*10))
And there you have it!

OK, I'm been working for about 2 months on an awesome ASM game for the TI-83 Plus called Global Wars International. Some of the features include an expansive storyline with 20 missions, complete Artificial Intelligence, a full 3-D raycasting engine, 8 different available units, choose between a boy and girl, your name, keeps track of real time in the level, is enabled with DupleX and LiveLINE (two subprojects in progress also), tons of different environments, link modes, free battling mode, 3 save files, full shop interface with over 35 items, emergency exit keys, teacher keys, and user-friendly game play. It also keeps track of cash, kill status, HP and fuel (in bar meters), other weapons, enemies killed, mission briefing text and commander pictures, and even comes equipped with a real working radar that works exactly co- in hand with the actual game! There's also going to be sequels to it, so look out for those too, it's going to b awesome! The actual Beta version will probably come out in February or March 2005, so email me if u want to be a tester. (I WILL INCLUDE U IN THE CREDITS, DON'T WORRY)my email is mhergenrader@comcast.net. All u need to do is tell me your name, experience, past projects or testing projects you've done, and that's it, and I'll let you know info about evrything!
