well, i clicked the wrong thing anyway, but yes i am going back to school but not getting a calculator. Do we have some dropouts that answered?

Tight means a someone who doesn't part with money. (It has, to my knowledge, never meant a drunk person, sloshed, newted, razzled, tiddled, mullered, ratted just to name a few terms we use for drunk.)
I was almost about to make a joke on trees, then realised that it is spelt wrong....
s/(.*?\(.*?)u/$1/i;
should allow the joke to work though.
