AMS 2.08 Released
Posted by Eric on 19 August 2002, 07:10 GMT
TI has recently released AMS 2.08 for the TI-89 and the Voyage 200. The new version includes added features such as more trig commands and a novel idea TI is referring to as "clack functionality" (yes, kiddos, I believe that should be "clock"). Anyway, give it a try. On another note, I've decided to officially retire from ticalc.org, due to massive workloads and such. It's been interesting, but three years is about long enough, anyway. We're currently in the process of deciding how to proceed, so please don't flood our mailboxes volunteering your help just yet, thanks. Update (Eric): Ok, it appears that TI has recalled AMS 2.08 due to errors with the Black Graph Link cable and TI-Connect.

Has anyone here tried GEMINI yet? i did and it has the best graphics i have seen for the 83+! Also does everyone know about the emulator by ti that comes with a rom image so everyone can play games without a calculator, legally!? theres info about it at my site, http://83p.tigalaxy.com/ on the hardware.html page(link to it from downloads page). Just lettin everyone know bout it so they dont need to get rom images illegally.

How do I view this new icon desktop thingy? I can't seem to find it anywhere on my calculator after installing the new OS.

So does the clock function make your batteries drain faster? Even a tiny little bit faster? I would think it would take a bit of power to keep time even when the calculator is off.

w00t!
About time for a new ti89 os! (is it really for the 89?)
Sad, that he's retiring.
59th comment!
Again: Is it REALLY for the 89?
I'll have to go and check!
Will it make my ID number change? That will make my _free_ (ti did a giveaway a while ago) cellsheet thing useless! Oh well, I never use it anyway.
