TI-Keyboard: Coming Soon?

Several people have alerted me to an interesting new piece of hardware mentioned on Page 8 of the recent TI-Cares publication- a full-sized QWERTY keyboard that hooks up into your calculator's link port. A couple keyboard projects have been in the works lately by independent developers, but apparently TI has decided to make their own official version. More news to come? Hopefully...

Darn, it's too late for me now. I've been fiddling around with TI so much, I don't think I need keyboard for it. It's safe to say that I can type about 30~40 words per minute. No lie, you should see me program my games. Sometimes I can type and watch TV at the sametime without looking at the TI. Geez, I am such a geek at this.

I think I'm still around 10 wpm for my 89. I used to get up to about 30-40 on my TI-82, now I'm like 10, like the 89. For the 73? Forget it. You need the [2nd]+[TEXT] junk. ;-(

hahaha my wpm on my 83+ is baffling, the other day, a friend of mine showed me a game he made (not the source code, just the game) and within 5 minutes I had already made an exact replica with powerups, 10x faster, 1/3 the size, etc. It's kinda funny when people watch me program because my fingers just kinda start to fly around the keys, sometimes I don't even know what's going on!

Yeah, me too. When programming, I can type extremely fast if I have a slight idea of what I want to get accomplished. Heck, I type faster on the 8s+ than on the computer!

That's exactly how I feel on the subject. I can actually type better on my calc than my computer. Of course I use my calc almost three times as much, so this is really no suprise...
