i once made a program that turned the screen upside down, and waited for the user to press 100 keys... most people just took the batteries out and lost all their un-archived stuff... oh well, i don't want to jack up people's stuff, it's not mine and what's the point? why do people laugh at other people who get bad stuff done to them? that's just retarded and pointless... 1 of the many reasons that i hate everyone...

People make viruses, in my opinion, because they have no good ideas for games at the time. Plus there are those annoying kids that ask you all the time for games. Oh, and, GO TO HIS SITE!!!

Hey a proper virus should be quite a fun challange to make.

Hey you want to stop kids asking for games. Don't mind risking a few enemies at school.
Take their calc home to put the games and don't EVER return them - they will soon learn.

Also, don't know if it is the same for the slightly more modern, non-coal powered, calcs but for 82 users just copy the games from your calc to their's. Just kinda forget ash.
Simple reason why it doesn't work is that they have 'the wrong rom version on their calc'. Do the self test on their calc hit the wrong key and explain that this shows that they have a 'beta' stage rom and can't run games - average fool wouldn't argue. Oh, and after all that, I'M OFF TO HIS SITE.

Well I visited his site. Couldn't actually read much in it. Sort of darkish blue on black doesn't go well. Try some bgcolor="#ffff00" and font color="#00ffff"
should look great.

For me it looks like light blue on black (though it might be dark navy--not really sure). I'm assuming you're using some form of JavaScript on the top menu--due to the empty space beneath it--but I can't see it. Oh well, _if_ I go to your site again I'll just click the links.

OKAY the machine was partially to blame, as it was completely illegiable.
However I still have trouble reading blue on blue.
Like i say try some yellow and cyan(sorry that second color should have been magenta / pink - would have looked much prettier.)

I haven't actually taken over updating this class site (check out URL) yet. But I know you all want to visit it so I didn't want to keep you waiting

I think the geeks at his school rejected him... if he goes to school, that is. Could be a graduate.

Anyway, I do have a life. I just got back from playing 2 1/2 hours of tennis. Me against two. And I wasted 'em! And why should I read a book? I've already read The Lord of the Rings (on my second way through and almost done), the Left Behind series, numerous Star Trek/Wars books, and I'm starting my third time through on The Book of Mormon (if you don't know what that is and wanna find out, e-mail me please.) Let's see, the list goes on and on...

Maybe he should rethink what he is saying. And the guidelines say to avoid demeaning comments, etc. I know this one is off topic, but I felt I had to say it.

Fellow member here too.
I just started reading the BOM the second time at EFY (BYU Utah) last week. EFY is worth the $300+ I paid. The girl:guy ratio is around 2:1 (just to convince you to go). It was an excellent experience.

Anyway, today is my birthday. I turn 19 today (yes, I still visit here regularly and program calculators at this age). How old are you?

Don't you think it's odd that both of our handles are names of animals?

Well, that's enough ranting out of me right now. Cheers!

Isn't that like the "trilogy" series that is actually 5 books? I've heard it is really funny, if you're smart, but I have never seen it anywhere.

Re: Re: Read Hitch Hikers Guide To The Galaxy.

Yes the trilogy does consist of five - the forth book being the last in the series (kinda). It's not 'really funny' if you're smart. It is a side splitting piece of genius if you are smart. It is really funny if you just appreciate good, strange, humour.

Go to the local libary and ask if they have it, if not make the request that they should get it. If they don't, just raze the place to the ground.

Hey cool - I just found the OED online - no more excuses for bad spelling.

the 6th book is coming out. the first three are the best, the fourth is some sort of twisted love story, and the fifth is weird. who knows about the sixth, it is reconstructed from computer files

there's a sixth book - excellent. Someone tell me when it comes out just have to read it.
> the fourth is some sort of twisted love story <
but the only difference between this and the others is that this one's a love story - they're all twisted (which is a good thing).

Why a slight irony? Is that because of my allusion to Obi-Wan's quote from Episode IV?

No there was no irony in the original reply (the one I replied to). The irony was in the original statement - he is insulting a community he is part of.

So actually you kinda got it wrong there.

Oh and have I said yet - read the guide.
If everyone in the world were to read the guide it would be a happy more cheery place - with digital watches.

Nerds is not a good word in this case..."geek" would be better (definition: a computer genius/nerd). Take Bill Gates, he's a geek, except he's not a genius.

Bill Gates has managed to sell a product that does not work for years. There is a law stating that all products should do the job they are sold to do. He has gotten away with this for years - he must be damned clever.

Use Linux - a tad hard to maintain and learn, but as must people here seem to enjoy a challenge give it a try. After all, it is free.
