its hillarious. I'd say i'd it their calculators. Then I would say, here run this program and it'll fix it. When they did, it crashed the ROM memory so you couldn't use the ROM

It runs an asm statement converted into hex, I think.

That's right.
exec("4E444E750000")
turns off the calc, by the way.
changing the 4E44 to 4E4A runs self-test.

That self-test thing is pretty sweet! How'd you find that out?

You can also get to it

Start at Home Screen
F5 = PrgmIO
<> + Clear = i don't know what normally
Alpha + 3 = 'S'

I first found the trap # function, then experimented around with numbers in the last digit. Another value:
* 0 = redefine interrupt mask
* there are more, but I can't remember then at the moment.

another trap used by the OS is trap 0xB. This is used to archive a variable (I think), usually specified through the registers. It crashes if you just call exec("4E4B4E750000"), though.

HAH!!! I LAUGH AT THAT STATEMENT! YOU DIDN'T FIX ANYTHING! THE ONLY REASON THAT YOU SAY THAT IS BECAUSE OF "I WANT GAMES, ANSON! CAN YOU GIVE ME SOME GAMES?" EITHER THAT OR THEY DON'T EVEN NOW HOW TO RUN A PROGRAM OR AN APP!!! TO THOSE IDIOTS WHO BOUGHT THEIR CALCULATOR JUST TO PLAY GAMES (i don't mean anyone on these message boards or people who have contributed a program): YOU'RE ALL IDIOTS!!! SPEND $10 AND GET A GRAPH-LINK!!! IT'S HORRIBLY ANNOYING! YOU SHOULD HAVE TOLD THEM TO BUY A GRAPH-LINK! AND THEY'RE GOING TO BE DOING THAT AGAIN NEXT YEAR IN HIGH SCHOOL!!! PEOPLE WHO BUY A CALCULATOR JUST SO THAT THEY CAN PLAY GAMES WITHOUT GETTING CAUGHT IN MATH ARE REALLY, REALLY DUMB!!! AHHHHH!!! (This was fun! w00t!)

There, I have expressed my mind. In response to your question, please see above statement. Thank you, and good night.

$10 seems a bit cheap for a graphlink... But maybe I haven't found a good deal yet.

And if people keep bugging you for games, start charging them. For the "service" of providing the games, that is, and not the actual games.

Charlemagne bought it for $10, I think. But one person in my summer school class got a 83+ for $2.00! (And then again, the guy who sold it to him got it by taking out something that the sensor at the exit door detects if you haven't bought the thing, and he's gotten away with it maybe 3 or 4 times. Imagine if he had Voyage 200s for 2 bucks...! w00t!

Two dollars? I'd sell shoplifted calculators (not that I'd shoplift, of course) for at least $10 each.

That's just me, of course.

In the UK they are stuck on the back of the barcode sticker. We have them on the books at our school library- stick a book in someones bag- when they try to leave the alarm goes off and the doors lock!

Hey cool you can alter the subject.

<sarcasm>That's quite a trusting school</sarcasm>

My school decided to invest in setting up a standard barcode system - not for security. Shame really 'cos they could have actually spent the money on some books that are actually worth reading. Still...

Yes...Me and Charlemagne know of at least 5 to 10 girls from our school that have an 83+, and no, I'm not going to ask them to sign up because they are dumb idiots (some of them at least) who buy their calc to play games practically nonstop.

Didn't lord_nightrose mention that there are a few girls already in ticalc.org?
