I haven't tried it, but I've heard that GRAPH-LINK (not TI Connect) works under WineX. I can't try it, though, because I don't like paying money for software, and I don't know what the hell to do with a CVS tree.

Everyone! Linux HAS a graphlink like program except that it treats the calculator like an external hard drive. A friend (Jimmy, who is too lazy to get an account with ticalc.org) has RedHat & says it came with Linux. I dunno. I'm gonna build me a computer next summer and install Linux on it. I hate TI Connect.

it would be nice if the text-editing software TI is planning to ship with that nifty QWERTY keyboard is in a friendly format (e.g. text or xml) for cross-platform use. I seem to remember they're not even supplying a Mac version at the moment. If they do it properly, I see no reason why my TI-89 shouldn't be able to double as a PDA.

No need. Linux is about as popular as Esperanto, and for the same reasons.

I dont hav Linux but I no its good.
I think ther shud be a device file for it, and then mount it and acses the files that way. And ther shud be options for if you want no extensens, or same as DOS and Windows, or extensens .ti92 and the leter.
I think ther shud be anuther device file for sending CBL comands and makeing programs that can work on the computer conecting to the calculater.
