Wonderful survey idea! Too bad TI doesn't care.

All I was saying is that TI will probably never see this survey and the results and so we will never see a linux version of TI-Connect released. That's all I was saying. Besides, TI really doesn't care, have you ever tried exercise the one year warrenty? They'll make you waste thirty minutes on the phone with people who think you're an idiot (I know for a fact I'm smarter than one of the guys there, he had to look it up on his computer to find 2nd-LEFT-RIGHT-ON, which I obviously had already tried) . I hate TI's customer service.

Not really - TI are only out there for the profit (don't blame them though) but a little more thought into the product supplied would be good.

If TI GPL'd a bare-bones linking program, then many new features for it would be submitted by users and it would become better than any TI linking program is. Netscape did this in 1998 by creating mozilla.org, and Mozilla is a much better than any other browser I've used.

True, but Netscape is now owned by AOL, so how soon will the evil company's influence spread downwards towards the excellent browser?

Excellent browser? AHH!!! It sucks! Well, that's just my opinion. I'm talking about 4.7, not the other ones. Most Javascript effects/games/progs don't work with it, plus it's slower, and AOL STINKS! N-AOL (netscape+AOL) stinks even more! It is smelly.

Oh yeah, feel free to flame me... just don't catch my clothes on fire again. I hate that dang stop, drop, and roll thing. ;-)

by excellent browser - I think he meant Mozilla, which is much better then netscape (not hard cos I don't think much of netscape either. Oh most javascript effects do work with it. It's just that there are a lot of Web designers out there that are poor clueless fools who actually know nothing about writting a good website.
Sites should support:-
-All major browsers.
-Text based browsers.
-Speech browsers - imagine being blind and going to a site which you really need to visit and find that it is all Flash and stuff.

yeah, but it's a pain, when pretty much all other browsers can support the <DIV> tag to the fullest, and with Netscape, you have to totally use different tags... like <LAYER>, even though I think the <BLINK> (only on netscape) is cute :)

Great browser ideas.
Try Opera (www.opera.com), it is the best browser for linux and windows, but just use IE on a Mac, cause Opera for mac sucks, and Netscape 4.7 and 6 suck. I didn't like Mozilla much, but I didn't disloke it either.

Netscape 6 is the worst browser ever. They tried to fit to many features into it, and half of it runs in Java on the mac, my PowerMac G4 (The dual processor 1Ghz one) can't even run it quickly, and it can handle more than any other computer I have ever seen, I'm sure that many of yalls computers are faster, but I love my Macs. My windows machine, okay my windows machine blows, a 700Mhz celeron, also didn't run it any better. It has to be the ugliest, worst browser ever. Try Opera. Even the skins available for it all stink, no offense to any of you whom may have made one.

Netscape 6 is awful. It was great before then without having to use the slow @$$ Java VM. Actually makes me want to use ie.

Mozilla - being GPL is not likely to be influenced by AOL - lets all thank Almighty Bob for that one.

Re: AOL taking over Mozilla

I thought Mozilla was a somewhat independent from Netscape Inc. Anyway, the current version is open-source, so if that happens, boycott the "offical" Mozilla and use the last free version - and update it.

The scary thing is: AOL Time Warner = AOL + Time Warner. Time Warner owns WB. WB owns Pokemon. AOL owns Netscape. Therefore Pikachu could legally be in the next version of Netscape.
