All 82 users look out for CountDown coming soon to a website near you.
This games is based on a great TV show and can keep people happy all through your maths lesson (you can even encourage your teachers to let the whole class play instead of doing work)
Should be easily put on the 83 as well.

Re: Do you think TI should release a all-calculator linking program for Linux?

While a [quote-unquote] "stable" system, Linux is not a real product per-se in its neither its performance nor its realiability, and therefore does not require something for the calcs. Afterall, Linux users insist on "open source": so why not let them write their own calc stuff? Let us not waste valuable time for rather miscellaneous users and focus on reality.

* Linux is more stable than Windows. You haven't used it recently, if at all.
* No, Linux is not a "product" at all; it's free software.
* Do you even understand what OSS is?
* Of course, Linux users have written "calc stuff," as you so eloquently put it. The question is whether TI ought to join in the effort: after all, they made the calculators.
* If you think Windows is reality, are you in for metaphor shear... The poll was an excellent one, because it clearly shows that some among us don't understand what Linux is about.
* Here's a metaphor for you: You want to get from here to TI-land, which is very far away, so flying will be the fastest. There are several hundred airlines that fly to your airport, but 95% of people fly on a certain large airline. You're not too enthusiastic, because this airline has a horrible safety record. Besides, the seats are uncomfortable and the interior decorating is enough to make you want to take a taxi. There's an excellent inflight movie, but if you haven't paid for it, the flight attendants will blindfold you for half the flight. The seatbelts are preadjusted, and the captain can lock them so you won't get up during the flight. There's another fairly big airline, which you've heard good things about, but it's too expensive. Just then you glance over at the LinuxAir counter and see a bunch of weird-looking guys handing out tickets to anyone and everyone. It turns out that the ticket itself costs $5, but the flight is free. You have a smooth, relaxing ride, watch the free inflight movie, and chat with the bearded flight attendants about the latest in jet engines. Just as you look out the window and see the TI-land airport in the distance, the captain comes onto the intercom. "We've been denied clearance to land, so I'm afraid we'll have to go back. They've reccommended that you try flying by Windows Air."
