TI Releases ROM v1.15 for the 83+
Posted by Nick B. on 26 August 2002, 05:52 GMT

OS 1.15 has magically become available for the 83+. We're told that this version adds two features: TI-keyboard support and improved support for the CBL2 on the Silver Edition.

If either of these things apply to you, or you complusively need the latest and greatest thing, visit the TI store and select the appropiate subsection.

I think OS 1.14 was like the Windows ME for calcs. Hopefully 1.15 is like the windows 2000.

Actually i think 1.14 is more like 3.1 and then 1.15 is 95, there is a bigger difference then windows
Me-2000. I got it for my calc even though i had to lose my games.

One way to save your clac from MirageOS password protect that you can't crack even taking out the back-up battery too, is to reset the OS.

Guess what? TI just recalled AMS 2.08 for the TI-89. (the version with the clock) It had too many bugs.

That's wierd but true. I just checked it myself. Maybe it had something to do with the long list of things that are good but not good enough, things that are removed and should be put back, things that are unfinished, and things that I thought should be rethought. I'm going to ask them why they recalled it, and I'll do it now.

THREE PEOPLE HAVE BEEN ADDED TO MY SHIT LIST:

Ernie Everett
Michael Shaffer
MIchael Lerma

You guys are pathetic. You make some stupid little role playing game that makes no sense to anyone outside your school and try to pass it off as Super Smash Bros. Melee for the 83+. Retards. Go fondle yourselves, maybe you'll come up with a good idea then.

Another person on the SHIT LIST:
TENCHI! Try debugging your programs BEFORE you release them! TI-BASIC IS NOT THE SAME ON ALL THE CALCULATORS! YOU CANNOT COPY AND PASTE TI-83 CODE INTO A TI-89 PROGRAM AND EXPECT IT TO WORK! NONE of your the programs you submitted WORK.

sorry if I sound pissed. I AM. I've had a bad week.

Has anyone noticed that Donkey Kong is for the ti-83 but it says that it is for the Ti- 83+.

Plus the people who tried to pass of that gay "Baker's Quest" as Super Smash Bros. sux @ss.

But Super Smash Bros. for the Ti-83+ is not a bad idea.

Has anyone else had problems using Symbolic 1.8 on the new OS? It seems that while the added function names show up when you enter them, if you do 2nd+[ENTRY] they will be replaced with question marks, tildas, and other strange symbols. This was not a problem on the old OS for me.

kelo

The new Rom 1.15 when loaded to Virtual Calculator 2.5 beta 5 will not turn on ... is it just me or the new features on the update included not being able to load the rom to Virtual Calc ?

Why doesn't TI just release a whole OS for the 83+?
They have all the hardware stuff down, all they would have to do is recode about 100 kbytes of math routines and add some.
