TI Keyboard: More Information Released
Posted by Eric on 16 June 2002, 08:40 GMT
TI has finally released new information on something that should have come out many years ago, the TI Keyboard. The keyboard, which runs on 3 AAA batteries and contains many nifty features such as compatibility with Microsoft Word, will be available in the fall.

I don't understand why someone wants to tweak the download statistics. This is so immature. I always try to avoid downloading my own programs/web pages, so I get a realistic figure about how many people are actually downloading my stuff.
And why I think it was achieved by cheating? Well, I regularly check download statistics. Even the best (qualitatively) authors rarely exceed the average 20-30 downloads per file per week. An extreme exception was the authors of the brand new Doom 83, because it was the only program they released, and it got into the top 5 (both the 83 and the 83+ versions).
The other reason is that checking the directories these files reside in reveals that every other file is downloaded much less times, except for the new ones. But you can in no way justify such a sudden interest in the long time submitted programs of a single author... As I said, if you subtract 50 from the downloads of every file, you get such numbers that perfectly fit into the statistics of the directories in question.
Anyway, if cheating pleases you, lord_nightrose, just go ahead. I don't mind. However, I just can't see the point in it.
