TI-84 Plus Now Available
Posted by Michael on 26 April 2004, 04:28 GMT
Breaking news just in: The TI-84 Plus is now available through most channels for purchasing. TI has also created a new website to promote the new 84 product line: 84silver.com.
It appears that the 84 Plus Silver Edition is not yet available (you can pre-order from several places though), only the 84 Plus for now. If you are looking for a place to buy one, check Froogle.

First, let me say that I remember signing up for Legolover64 not Legolonver64...
Anyways, I own an 84 SE. I got it 2 days ago, and it's awesome! Over 44 preloaded apps (at my count) and a very fast speed! The TI Connect software for it is beta, but that's besides the point. The USB point is not A nor B, it's a different type. It also has the I/O port. This does make it tedious for linking with friends who don't have an 84. It does a sine wave and Zfits it in under ten seconds. The memory and processor speed aren't big improvements, but they sure are useful!
This should clear some of this up.

Why would you wanna buy this...no offense but besides ti-83plus and ti-82 that i "Found"...their is nothing greater then a ti-89 and maybe that voyager thing. What we need is for all calculators to be more like pocket pc's since thats how we all use them when were not doing math.

Looks to me like TI is just scrambling to match the capabilities and features of HP's 49G+, all they're doing is adding USB ports (89 to 89 Titanium), why not just call it an 83+ Gold or something... No need to use a whole new model... Still not as good as HP, they need to get off of their butts and design a new calc from scratch if they want to make a better calc...
