International Karate, Vector Space
Posted by Michael on 6 February 2004, 23:20 GMT

[International Karate]David Randall has released his high-kicking game, International Karate. It is a 89 replica of IK+ for the Commodore 64. There are sixteen different karate moves and a variety of options. In the future, there are plans for 92+/V200 ports and link play. Check this game out; it looks quite well done.
[Vector Space]Also, Paul Houser's Vector Space is a vector-based spacewars-like game for the 89/92+/V200. There is either AI mode or link play (which is reported to still have some bugs).

Some jerk is bouncing viruses off my email address, I assume it spawned of this ticac.org post, since they are bouncing it from ticalcs@paulygon.org, an address I only use here. Could you please stop... please!!!

I'm guessing that's why your email address now says junk@paulygon.org

International Karate Problem
nogenius Account Info

I have a problem regarding the sending of International Karate.

Whenever I attempt to send, my TI-Graph Link (black link) software detects the .89s files as "bad group" files, and refuses to send them. Does anyone know of a way to remedy this?

Thanks in advance.

Sigh. Another problem caused by abuse of string files. :-(
Try another link software.

Programmers, please DO NOT use strings to store binary data, that's what custom type variables are for! See http://tigcc.ticalc.org/doc/faq.html#55 or use ttbin2oth to generate them on a computer.

Thanks again Kevin! I will ensure this fixed for the next release. Hans had the same problem. He was able to transfer the files using TI Group Explorer. TILP also works. I apologize for the inconvenience.

Hey everybody, my computer's out of commission right now but before it died, I made a grayscale version of V. S. thanks to ExtGraph... when I get my computer running again, I'll post it on ticalc.org.

actually, just send it directly to paul@paulygon.org

Sorry about the confusion. I have my own webserver so sometimes I like to keep things seperate, in this case, that was a good thing... I was able to disable the ticalcs address that was bouncing viruses.

I don't know if anyone reading this anymore, but VSpace 0.5.1-0 is in the queue. Most of the promised features are in it.

Add it to your website. Then I can download it, even though they haven't gotten around to uploading it.

Well, you need to use a different program then device explorer. If you had read the board up to this point (which took all of five minutes) you would know that.

problem solved by Ahmed Brown

So heres how I did it...start up ti-connect (actually double-click on it and use it...your not transferring yet) and click on ti group explorer. Once there, find where the files are located on your computer. Then, hook up your cable (yes, I'm using silver link as well) to your calc and then transfer those two files over by selecting them, right-clicking and selecting send to device (or click on the button with the arrow going into the calc). Get the other files on there, boot up and kick some a...!
