Somebody please tell me, why feel so bothered by that TI will tell which apps can be Flash Apps? WHAT ARE WE MISSING OUT?

FlashApps have the ability to be integrated into the system, with common variables used interchangeably between the OS and the FlashApps. However, since most of the programming in ASM is done to produce games (and the occasional periodic table), I doubt there will be much use of the professional version among programmers. If anything, the 83+ SDK enables Z80 programmers to learn more about the system, rather than develop games on it. Also, do you really think that TI is going to "digitally sign" any game so it can be a FlashApp? That question wasn't specifically to you, but to most of the other people on this board. That's the only advantage to using FlashApps over a regular ASM program, the ability to share common variables and integration into the system.

It depends on your perspective. If you want all the latest games, then Windows 95/98se are the best. Otherwise Linux is probably the best (I've only used Win 95), as it has support from some game developers (like ID software)

Yeah, I'm really waiting for that! Well, that will come after AMS 2.0, which will completely redesign the current TI-OS to make programming for it much efficient. But AMS 2.0 will come out in "Fall 1999" (which means they have until 21 December 1999), and the SDK for the TI-89 will be in "early 2000," which means they have until July. ;)

nope not really. My computer actually has two Pentium processers inside, one for the base and one that Was a hack. The base was also over clocked and I have a cooling system that I put on which works like a car engine. That computer would not beat mine in any competition. Only in speed and processing power. Try a competion in how fast it can copy your whole system to another hard drive. Mine would beat you if you have less than 1GB of ram, and a slower hard drive then me. I hate AMD computers anyway. Intel is still more compatable. Lets see how many features yours has. Why don't you go and try to make your computer survive geting draged by a truck driven by the Mac Addict team.

Think about it: you have 2 Pentium II 450MHz processors. Together, they add up to 900 MHz. barich has a 1GHz AMD Athlon processor. 1 GHz = 1,000 MHz. Also note that the Athlon is a more advanced chip. You wouldn't say that a Pentium II and a P3 of the same MHz perform the same, would you? Neither would the PII perform the same against an Athlon of the same MHz (if they existed). So stop trying to sound superior and go read your Mac Addict subscription.

As for the extra comment that couldn't be mentioned in the post I am replying to about your typing accuracy, most of the comments I've seen from you don't have typos, they are simple words just plain spelled wrong, words like "upsessed," which is actually harder to type than the correct spelling of "obsessed." I know the Internet isn't a spelling contest, but as somebody mentioned recently (probably on the Newsboard Anarchy page), on the Internet, what you type is your only form of identification. If nobody knows you, everybody's image of you (from what you post) would be the dumb kid who knows JACK (must I mention that you also think Macs and Pokemon rule and StarWars sucks) and can't spell. Spelling errors don't make you look any smarter, they do the opposite.

Power PC architeture, PAH! At my school, all the "PowerMacs" go so slow it starts to become funny. The phrase "Power Macintosh" has become a joke, of the oxymoronic type. Not to mention the idiot that beleives "Vitrual memory takes up too much hard drive space, so let's disable it." iMacs are also very fruity. Give me a REAL computer anyday!

The power macs at your school are 5-10 years old. use an IBM that old, and it will take six monthc. to start up. although the imac is fruity, it still runs very well and works great. Do not judge a mac by the fecal matter which is labeled "macintosh" and plaed at the students disposal.

Not everyone's school has 5-10 year old Macs. My high school has new G4s, G3s, and iMacs. They also have Windows NT machines so people can actually do schoolwork. The Macs just look good and crash.

Do you not know what RPM stands for? It's mostly used in "car talk," where it measures how fast the engine is running in Revolutions Per Minute. I don't see how your hands could do a that sort of thing. Ummmm...you also "spelt" most of your English words wrong, too, by the way. :) And get it right. PC owners don't hate Mac fans, we just think they didn't get on the right train when it came by.

Nobody in their right mind would say an Intel processor even comes close to the G4. It's factual evidence, not somebody's opinion. However, don't look at your hardware and say that constitutes a Mac. What sucks about your systems are the OS itself. It's not supported by really anything, and what's sad is the fact that since you don't have any programs to run (other than that retarded puzzle program), you go and emulate Windows in order to run our programs that you want so bad. Another thing: how come your superior minds are still sticking with ONE-BUTTON mice? What use is that? Just take away features, why don't you? Menus don't stay open, you have to hold the button down the whole time, and the mice are "ergonomically" designed to fit in the palm of a newborn (your hockey-puck iMac mouse isn't comfortable, either).

As for your Windows bashing, I can't say that Windows is perfect. If I had my choice (it's my roommate's computer), I'd run Linux. It's got a way better interface than your gay MacOS (customizable with GUIs), and is more supported than the Mac, even though it hasn't been out for a third as long as the Mac! And the benefit of it is that it's entirely free.

As for your immaturity, what kind of response is that? We're not threatening your life or telling you to "go to hell," are we? If you know your system is "superior," why do you always defend it? It makes YOU and IT look inferior. Everybody has a right to choose what kind of computer they want when they buy it. I'm not bashing you for choosing the Mac. I'm bashing the Mac itself.

I thought most mac users used them because they like the operating system, not because of the superior hardware. btw, you don't have to hold down the mouse button to keep menu's open unless your using a really old system with no software. also, we mac users do have programmable multi-button mice, it's just that most people don't use them. we think that our operating system works better and is easier to use, and you think yours is. In our school, we have a couple iMacs, a few G3's and about a million Power PC's and Macs (those funny ones that is just one big block). I hate them!!! They are slower than sh*t comming out of a constipating man and they actually take time to save a one page essay!!! I tried to save a document full of pictures and it took almost 10 minutes!!! Also, my english grade is always 5% lower than normal(it's like that for everybody) because of the retarded spreadsheet on those retarded Power PC's! All I can say is that they suck like crap. Exactly, when you bash the mac you are bashing me. I feel a certin connection to all of my electonic devices. For one thing why don't you try a voice print password for your windows crap, you can't aww thats too bad. Hey there are billions of programs I can run on a mac, the only reason for the PC emulator would be so we can see your programs with better resolution. For another thing the "Hockey puck mouse" is comfortable if you know how to use it right. Why don't you try my favorite computer game EV Override, oh I forgot you only have a PC which only has one sucky mac emulator. The GUI for mac just looks diffrent, but it is better. For all you lazy people who have to just use a start menu make an atlas or in pc terms a shortcut to link to it and put it in the thing that some people use called the Launcher. Oh I'm sorry the only thing you have ever used on a mac for a gui is At Ease, if you ever used finder you'd see how much better it is. As for the menus not staying open, if you need to get the menu to stay open goto the mac control panels and select the assistance panel (that's not really the name) with the HANDYCAP SYMBOL to show you are retarded and make it keep the menus open. Windows is just a rip off of Mac OS. When a mac starts up it loads everything before letting you do anything, the windows computer can crash from people who don't know how to wait before starting a program. P.S. My mac has gotten me through the worst of times with school work because of it's MAC FEATURES. This is why I feel so close to it. What does my PC do, crash while saving an MS-DOS game. Now what do you have to say about that. Hey some of the games for some of you babies were developed on the mac quake, Myst, riven, etc.

Actually, MS-DOS is probably the best operating system there is. It's so good, I consider it invincible. It has never crashed, and is the base system for most x86 shells. That's why Windows sucks, because it's not a true operating system, it's just a program running other programs.

BTW, isn't it great knowing that any big name software company (other than Adobe) considers the Mac a last option in terms of sales? I would hate getting new programs months, even years after it's off the shelves.

MS DOS SUCKS BECAUSE IT HAS THE WORST INTERFACE I HAVE EVER SEEN. I don't wake up saying macs rule, I only pick a fight when someone makes fun of a good operating system. id software made some sotware on a mac, Microsoft acutally wants make mac software. Usualy if a company makes it for both platforms they relese the both at the same time. The mac has some things that the PC does not so shut the hell up.

P.S. The mac has more software then linux does so if you diss the mac about not having enough software, then people who run linux as their main system should be offended.

Sierra originally was going to make Half-Life for the Mac, but they reconsidered after they realized that Macs have no purpose.
