I'm sorry if this article any grammatical errors, I'm from holland so please don't get annoyed if you find a lot of them.
I'm programming an rpg called "Total darkness"
for the ti-83. It will be fully graphical, furthermore
it will feature:
- a total of 2 characters in addition to your starting character they can be found as you advance in this game.
- 8 fully graphical spells
- 3 graphical summons
- A total of 30 enemies
- NO LAME WALKING "X"
(This game will be cut in three pieces avoiding mem
shortage, and it will still make me able to produce a fairly long rpg)
I will post information about the release date of this game, and the URL of my site in the future.(I will do this as soon as I fix up my website).
- If you still have any questions, or suggestions then please do reply on this article.

Final Fantasy, Anyone?

I'm making Final Fantasy for the 83. Not like the crappy ones already out on the 82, but the original one for the NES. I'm making it as close as possible to the NES version, with a few slight changes (like FIR2 is now called Fire 2). It's entirely in BASIC, but it has good speed, pretty smooth animation, and is completely graphically based. There is no "X" walking around on the world map. BTW, the world map is the FULL map from the original game. All dialouge will be kept in the 83 version. A demo with the first part of the game (defeating Garland) should appear at Ticalc.org's archives in a month or so.
Looking forward to then.

i have just finished a game called GTAgold
you can buy drugs, steal cars, do special jobs for different crime groups and also weapons and cars
it has a save option, but unfortunately it takes up
8000 memory which is bad

a scuba diving game sounds pretty cool
you could make it so you swim around and pick up
treasure and stuff and then return to the surface and sell it to buy better equipment for deeper diving

RPG game

I'm just about done with an RPG game that I've worked on for a couple weeks. It's probably the best RPG game for 83 BASIC, it has random fighting (and bosses), weapons, armor, experience, levels, gold, a pretty long story-line which will take a few hours for a first time player to beat. Right now all bugs are worked out, but at the moment there's still some tweaking needed 'cause it's way too easy to level and defeat bosses. Look for RPG in late September (when I have a computer), until then, download my other programs at my website: http://www.geocities.com/HeaneySoft. That site has all my programs up-to-date, the ticalc.org website has them all too, but they don't update often enough.

Bowling

I'd also like to mention that I made a new bowling game a few weeks ago, and there's no doubt in my mind that it is THE BEST bowling game ever made for 83 BASIC. I've actually already submitted it to the website, but it won't be there until they update next. (You can get it from my website instead of waiting for ticalc.org to update: http://www.geocities.com/HeaneySoft) So I'm guessing the new one will show up sometime in September, whenever they next update the 83 BASIC archives. The great thing about this new bowling is that it's not random. Every single bowling game I've seen for the 83 has randomly falling pins, you throw the ball down the middle, get a strike one time, get a split another, etc... my bowling game doesn't do that, you choose where to stand, you choose where to aim, and if you throw a strike, you get a strike. Lastly, this game has the real bowling system that you will find in a bowling alley. All other games I played just give you 30 for a strike and 20 for a spare, anyone who's bowled will tell you that this isn't right, so I made it right! Go download it!

Im working on a Graphical TI 83+ RPG. Now, the monsters are not graphical, but all the menus are, the maps are (although not 3D, they are overhead). Over 80 monsters, 6 magic spells, no items or weapons yet, but soon to come. Aprox. 20 maps, give or take. If anyone would be willing to help me, either suggestions or programming tips I'd be grateful.
The basic plot is that you are a hero, needing to develope your skills. You must go from map to map, getting gold to buy health and mp restorers and fight to gain levels, in order to defeat the final boss.
Thanks,
Gerhalt
P.S. E-mail me at tgrmtn@Juno.com
P.S.S. E-mail me also if you would like to test it. :)

RPG is now out!

It's been two months since I started RPG but it's now done! I just uploaded it to the TI website but who knows when it will get there, probably in a month or so. So if you're reading this, go to my website (www.geocities.com/HeaneySoft) and download RPG, you have got to try this game. A few messages above this one I described the game and it's aspects if you want to read that, and don't let the fact that it's almost 23K discourage you. And if you would like to read a little more in depth about it you can look at the RPG Survival Guide at www.geocities.com/HeaneySoft/RPG.

Hello;
I am just learning how to program in Assembly language and am planning a Zelda shell and a few quests to go with it.
I am REALLY new at this, so if you elite ASM programmers out there want to give me some tips, E-mail me at:
nepher33@yahoo.com
PS: Search the web for a computer game called Zquest. It and a companion program let you design and play your own Zelda quest! That was my inspiration.
