I have an upcoming game for the 83/83+. It's called Chessmaster 83, and will be a fully-featured chess program designed to be great for casual players and also have many nice features for the advanced player. Some of these include full legal move recognition, check recognition with graphic (shows which piece is checking you), notation option (can be turned off to save space if you're in a crunch, or if you don't want it), move takeback, special moves (castling, en passant, pawn promotion), and game review feature (steps through your notation move by move), save game function, and 4 notation storage slots (for later use, so they don't get overwritten). It uses a fully graphical interface with sprites, not letters, for pieces. It also allows 2-player games with both on the same calc and on separate calcs through the link. If you have any questions or comments, please e-mail me. Unless I hit a major delay, it should be out by the end of the year.

I'm working on a game called beerhunt. It is a game where you try to get the highest BAC, if you get 100% you can buy a brewery, and a lot of neat othere things. First I have to program it for the publice, for now you can download the one personalized for my friends at my webpage.

Scorched Earth

For quite a while now I've been developing a game based off the popular PC game, Scorched Earth. I believe this game is the closest to the PC game that's been made for the 83 yet. Two tanks (can be one-or-two player) take pot shots at each other on a randomly generated hill. As of right now, the game is coded in BASIC, but before I release it, it will be coded in assembly. The game is completely graphically interfaced; menus, gameplay, all based on the graph screen. Right now the game is slower than I would like it to be, although it's still very playable. Some currently implemented features include:
* Basic computer A1 intelligence (for taking shots)
* Realistic tanks (barrels move as angle changes, and look like original Scorch tanks)
* Adjustable terrain
* Two-player support (using a single calculator)
* Conventional Bombs (akin to nukes or missiles) and earth bombs (akin to dirt clods)
* Gravity (land falls, as well as tank)
* Tank deaths (three unique deaths right now)
* Tanks trade insults during shots!
* Tanks show some self-pity just before they die.
* Parachutes / Batteries
* Buy Weapons Menu, as well as game-accessable Main Menu
Some features that will be included in the (un)forseeable future will be:
* All code in ASM, resulting in blazing game speed
* Two-player mode via link
* Game saves (up to eight)
* Miscellaneous code changes, fixes, to result in more efficent program
* Fuel, new weapons, as well asa unique teleport option

I have an awesome idea for a starship troopers game but I'm not that great at graphics but I am trying to learn. I have the title screen and opening parts done, but what I want for the graphics is something I couldn't pull off so if anyone can offer help e-mail me.

This is the sequel to my game "The Search For the Elemental Stones". It will be a multi-part RPG for the 83 (in BASIC) featuring sprites, huge worlds, and movies for each part. So far, I have the opening movie and the first world done. I am working on the first fighting part. Go to my website and vote for what features you would want in this game!
