I think the archivers deserve a little credit. They have been blitzed by new files lately and are probably doing all they can to keep the pending files count from rising any further.

Ditto. Even me with my program hungry 89 is now choking because of the huge archive update. And the file archivers do deserve at least a small amount of recognition. If it were their jobs then I'd say lets fire 'em. But this is their hobby or something and they do this all on their spare time, don't they? (Correct me if I'm wrong, please.) I don't think we should be asking them for more of their time, even though it would be nice.

You're right (about this being a hobby). HIP HIP HOORAY, HIP HIP HOORAY, HIP HIP HOORAY! for the file archivers. There are over 20000 files in the archives. They have been doing a hell of a job recently, especially with all the files. Also, I understand not having time. I did vote on the keep the pending down, but I know that that will happen when 2 things occur:
1: The file archivers get tons of time

i think the file archive is updated quick enough, i think we just need more reviewers, and/or a new type of file review system. maybe a survey attached to each file with a Star sort of system. (i'd give Star Wars episode II **** on special effects, hehe) ive seen it 4 times now

I totally agree. The file archivers are doing it out of the kindness of their hearts. They arn't even getting payed for this! They deserve as much credit as they can get. They never even had to start this whole ticalc.org bit, but they had the will to do it, and I think they deserve a break every now and then. They should get something in reward to all that they have done. Thank you ticalc.org staff!
