I've been caught once with my 89.. it was in French class.. I was playing mario. There was no way the teacher could've seen the screen. She got up, and as she was walking towards me.. I exited the game, and turned on the password protection through Doors, and she took it. She told me I could get it back at the end of the day. She took it and sat down.. she turned it on.. and it asked for the password.. she looked at me.. and I just smiled.. it was funny. Still though.. I had Chemistry and Algebra 2 later that day.. and I didnt have my calc.. that sucked!

Well, depends. For the 89, hold ON then yank the batteries. Watch what happens. Only works if the calc is ON, though. I think there is an app that, unless you hold the right key when you hit ON, it will immediately turn the calc off again. Which eliminates the battery yank. Now what I need to figure out is how to move the lithium cell INTO the case, so that even if they open up the backup battery area, it won't die. Doesn't seem too hard, the cell is small, and contacts using a small tensed strip and a spring. Clip the spring, rewire the strip, and move it inside the casing :) Now they have to risk destroying your property to kill it!!
