How come when I make a reply I get a post window as if I'm replying to a post instead of a poll?

I don't want to hear the evil TI-86 debate *runs and hides*.

My comments-- TI-86's menus are the devil. Enough said. *runs away before the TI-86 users try to incinerate me*

Yeah... That thread is enormous. I don't remember a longer one. But then I don't read archives for fun.

There was one I saw a while back that you had to scroll a FULL PAGE to the right before you reached the highest thread...although that whole section of threads was deleted soon after I saw it...

Pyramids were lots of fun. We had some of the biggest threads... :-D

Of course, they were pointless, and it will never happen again, but it's still a great memory. LOL

Yeah, even this page requires my resolution set to 1152x864 just to view it without horizontal scrolling. (Actually, that's what I normally keep it on, but anyway.) I'm not sure what exactly causes it to happen on these boards, but it sure is annoying.

Horizontal scrolling *must* die. :) I can't imagine who can stand having to read 50-foot long lines of text. That's rediculous.

Good thing I'm in track! *runs faster*

Yeah, the TI-83/TI-86 debate has always been an evilness to me. In my opinion, the TI-83+SE is better, but the TI-86 users don't like that. :-D

I know how we can end this war once and for all. Ready? Here's the simple answer:

Screw your TI-83+. Screw your TI-86. Buy a TI-89. (... and they all lived happily ever after)

BTW-if u ever get very mad at your 83+ because everytime u turn it on it clears ram and shuts off, then simply punch it very hard, and it will work again :)

In addition to that "replying to a post thing" (which happened to me also, it's not just your comp) there is also a "bug" with the web pages...when you don't put a web page in it still says "Web Page" as a link to "http:///" (for an example, look at the link for this post...I didn't give one, but it still says http:///)...hmmm...has Magnus been playing with code lately? Or did someone trip on a server cable again? lol...

I think it's always done that unless you specifically change it somewhere else... or... maybe not. :) *shrug*

i own an 83+ SE and i voted for the 86. Its software is definately better, even if the storage isnt as good. also, it is much easier to do grayscale, has a wider screen, and a better key layout; experience from using my friends calculator

I must agree. I have used an 86 a bit (and bought an 89 after) during my math 12 class (grade 11 officially, hehehe). A girl in my class had one, but could not find the binomial pdf function stuff, so I coded one. Not the big formula, you know, the little one, lol. I would expect that it is somewhaere on the calc, but just hard to find. That is the main thing I don't like about it. The menu system can be a pain, but does allow one to use the entry and menu at the same time, as someone mentioned. Other than that, I know little. btw, I need an 89 typing tutor, lol.

oh yeah, if there was an 86+, world peace would be acheived, and utopia would be reached. That is the closest my opinions are to capitalism being the way to go, but no political <cough> flame war </cough> debate.

Yes, an 86+ would achieve world peace, but so would a Voyage 400...keep dreaming

wow...that signature took almost as much space as the comment... ;)

I don't see why TI-83+ and TI-86 users always clash. I mean... really. It doesn't make sense. And you notice that nobody dares debate the TI-89... ;-)

It's because the 89 obviously beats everything else. :-)

You mean a binomial solver or factoring feature? If you do, just press 2nd, POLY, then enter 2 and press enter.
