Hey guys! Are you in college or in high school? I mean, I don't know how you can use a 92 in high school. Personally, I recommend a TI-83 or TI-86. I'm in the 4th year in physics in college, in Portugal. I'm going to do mostly math the next few years (topology and differential geometry). You CANNOT use a TI-86 at this level. Sometimes, a TI-92 suits your needs. In quantum mechanics, for example. But these calculators CANNOT be compared. The TI-8x (except TI-89) are high school calcs. 89 and 92's are college calcs for math and physics. Trust me, if you ever learn about advanced math or physics, you will NEVER use your 83's or 86's anymore except for gaming. Even the TI-92 Plus with it's awesome calc power isn't enough. Sometimes a PIII 600 Mhz isn't enough running Mathematica 4.0. Trust me, I've had that experience...

I've had a TI-92 since the 8th grade (I'm now in 11th.) I type notes on it and love it. Having my history notes accessible has made me very popular in school.

I own 3: 81 (when it first came out), 85 (when it first came out), and 89 (last year). Obviously, the 89 is my favorite of the three. (I'm tempted to get an 83+, though, probably just to play with :) ) I just got out of college.

I am pleasantly surpised to find that I'm in the majority (60+% own at least two calculators). TI is the best.

About the being happy becasue 60% of the people who own 2 TI's, it's probably because this is a TI calc site. People who own HP, etc. probably don't visit it that much.

2, the TI-83 (for school)
the TI-92+ (for myself)
TI-83
Simple, good in fast, simple calculations.
TI-92+
Complex, very fast, some basic things can be made faster. (task for good ASM-programmer?)

At the beggining of my A-Level maths course in September 1999 I had a really crap TI-81 where as everyone else had those lovely TI-83. I got so fed up with it that I changed to a TI-86 in January 2000. Suppose that makes others jelous lol! My TI-86 was bought two years early because my University Course I am hoping to go to recommends it!
