The long hunt is over, and we have finally hired ourselves a couple of file archivers. New to our staff are Joey Gannon and Morgan Davies, who will share the job of file archiving.

They have just been added to our systems, and it will be a while before they have been introduced in all the parts of our systems, so please give them a while to get up to speed. Once there, though, we hope to see the large backlog of files shrink fast.

Update (Nick): Files seem to be trickling in. After seeing Random Numbar Generator's 73 port as the first added file I didn't know whether to laugh or cry; nonetheless, here we are.

It appears to me that they are doing a little over 100 files a day. At this rate, they will be done on Pi day! Maybe they should just hurry up and do it. I guess it is not that big of a deal, it is still a lot of work I imagine. Good work guys! Much Thanks! END TRANSMISSION

O my, how nice is it to see the file status at minimal! Yes you are right, there are 1 or 2 pending files at the moment. It went fast though: in how many days over a thousand files were turned into a number with the comma three places to the left? Yes, it's good to see, although the archives may be a bit corrupted. But again, good work!

As of 18:42 GMT on March 10, the pending files count is at 3. Earlier, it was down to just 1. Go Joey and Morgan!
