Xeontech Beta 1 Released
Posted by Eric on 28 December 2001, 21:03 GMT

Xeontech Beta 1 Macross has released the first beta of Xeontech, their flagship Action-RPG game engine for the TI-89. Users can create their own RPGs that Xeontech then runs (read the documentation for more). Go download it.

I was wondering if anyone has AMS 2.03 so I could download it because I know I can remove my current AMS (2.05) but I need an older version. Also I was wondering if anyone got AMSINST to work that takes up too much memory on my calculator (it is a large *.89g file)

BTW Anyone remember wormhole I was wondering if anyone got a hold of the research he was conducting (I mean all the high level hacking that was occuring)

Thanx!!!

I think you can ask TI for an older AMS version.

Wow! That looks really good. If I had an 89 I would definetly download it. Do you think that something like that is availiable for the 83+?

I should be working on it, but I am not really motivated at present. I see too much room for improvement with the parts of the game that I have already finished. I need to just accept the fact that the game will not be perfect. I need to work on graphics for map tiles. I'll release a new version when it is playable. It is hardly impressive now.

I doubt that you can pull off a game like this on 83+. 83+'s can't have grayscale, they small screen and only 24kb of RAM. There are some 83+ only RPG's however.

83+ handles grayscale...
Maybe asm implemented on Silver can use different gray-levels?

Well, if 83+ flickering is considered grayscale, then you can have grayscale on every calc.

The program "RIGVIEW" has better than decent greyscale, and if you get the sync right, it doesn't flicker

make it an app, and take advantage of 160k

And why does everybosy say that the screen is so small? It is the same size (within millimeters anyway) as the 86 or 89, just a lower resolution. There is a huge difference between screen size and resolution!

Duh...

When we say: bigger screen of course we mean: higher resolution... With bigger we mean that you can see more information on the screen, more detail sprites etc etc
