Hey, awsome!!! I have been waiting for this game to work for ASM 2.03. Now that I have installed it, I have a little problem. The game worked perfectly but the problem is that every time I play it about 3 or 4 times, it always make the calculator crash and make me put back everything again (take me about 10 minute to do so since I organized all my files). Is this a bug, can you fix this? I have been using Door OS . And I think that the old style of the game is better since you can see more of the screen.

BTW, what is the differences between Door OS II and all those other ASM shells and kernels like Universal OS , etc. Will these other OS make ASM work on asm 2.03? since I got the latest Door version which said all 2.03 games will work, but so far 90 percent of the games higher than 8K don't work... help!!! which shell should I use????

thanks a lot

this looks a tad too large in size for my taste

It is pretty large, that is because it supports 5 completely different background sets, and 5 enemies with complicated AIs each.

Great job.
This was very hard to get running on my HW2 calc... but by installing Doors I got it. The problem with that, SMQ (and other games) running under Doors crashes it. Fearful of how boring school is going to be tomorow and the need for calculator games... I finally excogitated a solution:
For normal assembly programs, I have Universal OS 1.02 installed... this lets me run all assembly programs I have (except Bomberboy). When I want to play Bomberboy; I uninstall Universal OS, install DoorsOS, and unrename the archives that Universal OS integrated so Doors recognizes them. Then, I can play Bomberboy. But not SMQ or Phoenix.
All in all, it takes about 10 minutes to get this program running each time, and another 10 minutes of clean-up when I'm done... but it's worth it, good work!

BTW- Is crashing your calculator 138 times in one day a record? Trying to get things to work on a HW2 2.03 sucks; bless TI for sending me ROM 1.05.

Thanx, sorry it takes so much for it to work. One possible way to decrease the time it takes for you to be able to run the game is to make a basic program that does all of the procedures you outlined. It could be called bomber or something, and the program would first prepare the calculator for bomber, then run bomber89() and then reverse the process, all in one program. I had to do this for userlib before.
Good Luck!

Hey Jon - I've tried running Universal OS but to no avail...it keeps crashing on me whenever I try to run a game (particularly the Phoenix game that UOS automatically comes with). I dunno where I'm messing up, but I was just wondering if I needed some additional libraries of some sort to get UOS running my ASM games. I currently use DoorsOS II 0.93 (although it says '0.92 installed' on my calc) and many games like SMQ and Tetris89 work fine but there's no grayscale. Thanks if you can help any.

You need to use AMS 1.05. With UniOS/1.05 SMQ works with flickery grayscale... but Tetris has some very interesting problems... you can e-mail ti-cares@ti.com to get this older ROM version.

I think maybe you got DoorsOS .92 and not .93 because I have a HW 2 AMS 1.05 and It definetly says DoorsOS Version .93 Successfully Installed. I have not had one problem with any assembly game including the new bomberboy. Have you been using the Rom Patcher in the windows section? Because some games gave me problems before I ran this. Note: A lot of people say that Tetris is giving a lot of problems, nothing here. I used the rom patcher and the NON HW2 gray4lib and it works absolutely perfect. (Except there is no greyscale) Oh well, good luck!
