This is what you get for not using a ViewScreen as a HUD.

I downloaded Map2Go just to try it out, and it said to paste the Mapquest URL into the window. Well, the window is DOS and you can't paste (Ctrl+V) into DOS. Does anyone know an alternative way to paste the URL besides typing the entire URL into the program? Thanks.

CTRL+C the text you want to copy, then right click on the command window.

I copied (Ctrl+c) the URL like you said, but when I right clicked on the command window, no menu appears....

Right click the top of the DOS window, and select "paste".

It depends on the version of Windows. 95/98/Me, right-click the title bar. NT4/2K/XP/2K3, right-click somewhere in the window.

I want to see how many people clicked the "Web page" link without seeing where it went first.

It IS important to post two days after, but it has to be an off topic post that says to me: "Happy 18th Birthday!" Yep, I'm 18. :D Yep, I still don't have a driver's license. ;)

i have had a drivers license since i was about 14 and a half. i am 18 as well.

because i live in south dakota and you can get your license when you turn 14, at which time you have to drive with your parents for either 6 months or 3 months, depending on whether or not you take driver's ed. then after that time, you can only drive from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. until you turn 16, at which time you have full driving priveleges.

Whoa, that's different. For me, you can't drive until you're 16. Then, you get a permit, and you have to drive with your parents with some given time limit for six months. You have to get like 50 hours of driving in, too. Then, you can get your license.

My parents are trying to make me go get my permit right now... I'm too lazy. I don't really think driving is all that great, anyway. Besides, it's just more time away from my computer. :P

Here in NS you can apply for a learners' permit when you're 16. You can drive only with another lincensed driver in the car, no passengers. Then you have to wait six months before you can take the driving test, then you get a "New driver" license, and you can only drive from 6am to 10pm. No more than 1 passenger. You have to wait another 18 months to get a full lincense, and you have to take an accredited drivers' ed course during that time. You have a total of three points on your license, and a parking infraction takes two points off -- anything more severe takes more points. Drop down to zero points and the 18 months starts over again. You'll be at least 18 years old before you actually finish the whole thing.

In AZ you can get your permit at 15yrs and like 7mo I think. Then you have to drive around with your parents for a few hours during the day and 15hrs during the night and then you can get your licsense at 16.

Of course...you were annoyed that you couldn't drive, so you put intentional errors in the program to take it out on those who could drive... ;-)

What's the point? Get a pilot's license and ride public transportation. Driving is dangerous (adjacent cars, pedestrians, other crazy drivers) and flying isn't that much harder as a skill, plus you'd have much more space to mess up.

Plus, you don't need to be 16.

That's a good point, though, it might be harder to "fly" to a friend's house. You'd need a runway and a safe place to land... and I don't think the street would work too well. :-\ However, I do agree with you about the safety. Cars are just too easy to wreck. That could be another reason why I don't want to drive... maybe I'm subconsciously afraid of crashing or something.

Oh, and by the way, I'm going to have a short "vacation" break, where I'll be away from the computer for four days or so. I know that everybody will miss me greatly (haha), but just try not to have too much fun without me. I don't want to be left out! :D

Anyway, I don't have my driver's permit, though I'm 16, and I could have gotten it three months ago. All my friends think I'm crazy because of it; they all got theirs on their 16th birthday. I'm just not so obsessive about driving.

I remember the ASCII cakes! I never DID manage to get mine to work, oh, well...

If you were to do that again, I'd suggest making your own HTML page, using the font/css stuff from ticalc, testing it on your harddrive, until you find one that you like, and THEN uploading it. That's the trick. ;-)

I've been 18 for over half a year and I still don't drive either... >_<
