This is in response to acr34's reply about the short-lived calc programmer.
I really don't see how a programmer that contributes really good work could have a short lifespan. I mean that some hard-core programmers like to be recognized for their work. I'm currently working on two games and three applications that I hope to have out sometime soon. Believe it or not, ( ask Jake, you find his address on my site ) programming comes first in my life, and sex comes in far second. I just think that the programmer defines his own destiny and that most of the people that write the most awesome programs often do become good programmers, but saying "Toiled in TI-89 BASIC through high-school" isn't something that would have a lot of sway on a resume.
