Kirby will always be the best. On SNES, N64, Gamecube, Gamboy, and Calculator! They should make one for 83/84+ though...

I think the problem with the non-68k series calculators is the hardware. Their processors are generally slower, and the pixels are large compared to the 89s.

Question:
My 84+se is rated at 15 mhz, but when I compare graphing speeds, my 89T is much faster, even though it's only rated at 12 mhz. Why?

Several reasons...

--Different operating systems
--Different chip architectures
--Different bus speeds

...etc.

Also, TI generally limits the 83+se and the 84+ series to 6MHz for many operations so it's not faster than the 83+.

also, the newest OS has been known to make graphing WAY slower (I saw it somewhere on detached solutions...)

that's cause of discontinuity detection. the AMS 3.10 for the titanium has the same thing but it alows you to turn it off.

How do you extract grouped files in PowerComPress? Whenever I try to extract a compressed file, PowerComPress displays an error message like, "Error Creating Group File," in it's fancy grayscale.

Selecting the file in the browser (the GroupFile or a file inside the GroupFile) and pressing either "-" or "F1->Extract" should do it.

I can: world peace. That would be much better than a calculator. :)

Of course, with the way things are going, he won't get it any time soon...

you can read your manual to learn what the commands do. and anything for the 89 or 92+ should work for you because they all have basically the same OS. as for assembly I would start by learning C. there is a C compiler for the 68k calcs, TIGCC, which gives you the power of assembly with the trouble of learning it. once you have used C for a while, you will have a better understanding of the calc and assembly will come easier for you.

Is there a version of TIGCC for linux on a PowerPC computer? I could only find the one for x86 computers.

I think that you have to compile your own.

yea, i already downloaded TIGCC cuz im taking programming classes in C next year. But the manual prooved not to be helpful. i think its pretty much like VB for the computer (im studying VB as a freshman in HS) but its still kinda different ant you know the manuals, thier all preety much crap. (i learned 83+ basic from the manual but it took me years to figure alot of stuff out, like big text on the graph screen and varios other functions) i mainly just wanna learn the basic language for v200 so if i get bored in class i can make stuff (also for user defined functions)

ok, time to stop ranting

P.S. i played texas fighters everything but the graphix sucked (and the keys were screwed for the v200 version so i couldnt kick)

i want to know how to draw vere fast circles in asm (for 83+). CabriJr does it so it must be possible

(i mean very fast not the fast circle thing you can turn on in system flags (and if ti has the fast circle function, why dont they use it?))
