And by "guy" or "him", I mean male or female.

I don't think you need to worry about being p.c. when it comes to that. I follow the example of the Magic rulebooks and just switch between 'him' and 'her' everyone once in a while, when I feel i'm being exclusionary, which is rarely. My English teacher, who was a female, always told me it was alright to just put 'him.' It's usually inferrable when people mention a group of people, such as programmers, that it isn't gender-specific.

That's what I normally do, but I have seen flamewars started over things as trivial as that.

Fortunately, 'round these parts, flamewars get deleted. (Usually :) Of course, I guess what sparked a comment from me was not just the p.c. issue, but correcting posts in general. Everyone makes typos, most people should be understanding of this, as we are all just participating in casual discussion forums here and likely elsewhere, where we don't need half the posts on the page dedicated to 'Oops, that's "its" not "it's". Stuff like that. Maybe it's just me. I try my best not to nitpick unless someone is blatantly throwing something in my face, or unless it's about nitpicking... o.O (I know, I'm a nitpicker in denial.)

not 2 mention there was a servey a while ago that asked gender. there were no females. rather sad, actualy, but at most only about 20% of the responding to this post could be girls...

I remember seeing that once on these boards a while ago...

If I like the program, but there's a bug, I usually say something. But, because also a very spiteful person, if I don't really enjoy the program even before I come across a bug, I just delete it, even though I think reporting the bug to the author is the right thing to do... I'm a hypocrite.

None of the options given really appeals to me.

If it's a minor bug, I just ignore it.
If it's a major bug and I like the program, I mail the author (or look out for updates).
If it's a major bug in a program I don't like to use anyway, I just delete it.
If the program is a featured one, I add a comment about the bug (if noone else did yet).

When I find a bug into a calc program, I immediately slam the calc shut, yank my head out the window, and shout at the kids playing outside!!!!

you skip the sliding part and go straight from out of slide case to fully in slide case. it makes a snappy noise, then hisses at you, then appologizes, but it's still offended because you slammed it shut. that's how you slam it shut.

Eh, It really irks me when I can't run a program on my calc, but I mostly play games, and since I downloaded Phoenix Platinum Edition I really haven't played much else. (sooo...very....addictive!)

Games are good...very good.

Phoenix Platinum Edition is also good...therefore it is a game...
