Don't think about it like that or else it'll never get done. Think about 40 guys working together on the project striving to get as far as they can.

Here's my screenshotting routine:
- Open IE, goto zipped program listing, Shift+Click each white folder icon, minimise new window(loop this step until all white folder icon links are open OR until max window has reached limit)
- restore windows, click .zip link, rename to program-ID from URL when saving to "calctype" folder
- extract all zips to folders using zip-names
- run VTI, set rom
- open program, goto good section of program, save screenshot in folder with program with name of folder (eg: 105335-1.bmp 105335-2.bmp),revert to saved state (loop until all done)
- run IrfanView batch, load all BMP files from directories, save as GIF in new directory, zip GIFs, send to ticalc.org
It's a simple process, and a few things can be changed to make it longer. =P

Tabbed browsing might be slightly more efficient than having a zillion browser windows open.

Actually, I have several friends that refuse to use any OS but Windows. Another kid I know was so Winows-centric he asked me if Macs and Linux ran DOS.

And not only are Macs faster (to a certain extent; the point is debatable), Mac OS X is the only operating system where each successive release is perceptibly faster than the previous one.

Mac OS follows Fitt's Law far better than Windows ever dreamed of.

Multitasking works better. (Which is a main reason it's faster.)

And I've never tried Linux, so I make no comments thereon.

because the G5 has 64-bit capacity and it actually works, its undoubtably the fastest processor available. All 64-bit PC processors don't wwork because WinXP isn't written to work with 64-bit technology.

I've read of instances where certain people simply can't grasp the fact that other OSes like Mac OS and Linux run entirely independent of Windows.

A couple of times when I said my computer ran Linux, I was asked immediately afterwards by family members "what Windows I have." Fortunately, it only took them a couple of seconds to realize that Linux is entirely different from Windows.

yea, it already has... Anyway, Windows is written in COBOL, which has a) the simplicity of basic, and b) the speed of assembly!

I believe you have it backwards. COBOL has the simplicity of programming in hexadecimal and the speed of a dessicated slug. Example: a period is the statement terminator. This was chosen to be similar to English. One of my friends' dad writes COBOL for Expediters, Inc. He wears out keyboards on a regular basis, and prefers Omnikey.

Random quote from http://www.csis.ul.ie/COBOL/ Course/COBOLIntro.htm#part1: (in the link above)
"... the cost of replacing COBOL code has been estimated at approximately twenty five dollars ($25) per line of code."

I've never heard of Fitt's Law, but have you heard of Gates' Law?

"Every 18 months, the speed of software halves."

And also Slimey's Corollary:

"As the speed of software halves, its size (both in-core and on-disk) doubles. Ditto to the proprietary binary data files."

I've had more rendering problems in IE than anywhere else. IE Mac renders Ticalc.org's blue theme as purple. Safari, Firefox, Camino, IE Windows, etc. render the blue.

I'm not all "hooray for IE" because I have tried many other browsers (inc: netscape7/8 mozilla firefox maxthorn). The tabbed browsing method proved to have a bigger load on system resources and in many causes inefficient since after 10 or so tabs they'd drop into a dropdown menu where with IE you can just make the startbar bigger for tabs. Which would lead one to believe that if MS has IE in their OS as an integral application then you'd think Task Buttons "are" this so called "tabbed browsing".
Enough flame wars, lets just agree that all browsers have their strong points and weak points with different ones suiting different needs.

Why have 10 tabs? All you need is two: slashdot.org and ticalc.org :^)
Personally, I think IE's security holes more than make up for any of it's strong spots.
Besides, when IE crashes, it brings down the WHOLE computer, because MS decided to tie it into the OS!
FireFox is the future!!!!

I've never had IE bring down the computer by crashing. It's also never crashed whilst I had over 50 IE windows open getting programs from ticalc.org. Sure, I could just use some spidering software but that takes effort. This is just clicking. Keep it simple =)
I know IE isn't compliant in every aspect of w3 doctypes but you can say the same thing about websites. A good website requires a good browser, for everything else there's IE.

I once did a test (with Windows ME), and using tabbed browsing consumed far less GDI resources than multiple IE windows.

Of course, since I'm using Linux now, that doesn't matter anymore anyway.
