As stated in the news article, the surveys will rotate per week. There will be a survey for 68k programs.

Personally, I think that there should be a POTY for EACH calculator model. I'm pretty sure that many of us will only vote for programs that run on our own calculators, because we will be unable to test programs for other calculators to accurately determine the *best* program for that category (remember, we are forbidden to distribute ROM versions in order to test programs on VTI as well). From this scenario, people will either guess, or will not vote at all for that particular category. This will lead to inaccurate data caused by the guessers, or will lead to an overwhelming number of votes for a TI-83(+) program, simply because it is the most common calculator used by students today. If there was a POTY award for each calculator model, or if the winner of a single POTY award was tallied not by number of votes, but by greatest percentage of votes per category, then the winner would be determined with the greatest accuracy.

I'm not sure if the news article is unclear because someone else said the same thing, but it was stated that there will be surveys for *all* of the calculator models.

Well there aren't enough weeks in december for _all_ the calculators, unless you grouped them together in small categories - i.e. 82, 83/83+, 85/86, 89/92/92+/v200

Why are the results not shown? I am sure that there is a good reason, but I don't see it.

Read what Joey said (I know you already did). I figured it was common sense why they did that, oh well...

We don't want the results to influence the voting... same reason they don't release election results until the polls close.

I like Phantom Star, because it borught me popularity in school, however short lived that popularity was.

How did it bring you popularity? Did you tell everyone that you made it?

Oh, no, I would not do that. I was the one to bring it to the school. If someone wanted it, they would ask me, because I was sure to have the link. I would never say that a program was mine.

Hehe... the only problem with 'Not claiming' to have made it is that most people will assume that whoever gave it to them made it if it's a calc game... at least at my school they did....(and yes, I corrected many people...)

I never thought of it that way. However, I make damn sure people know I made the game when I make one. Everyone loved, and still loves weed 2.02 and 4 (I shipped 3 because a 4 takes a shorter time to draw, and less memory). It is a shame that ticalc will not allow it. I think it would be very popular here too. If you can't figure out why they wont allow it here from the title, I am sorry for you and wonder why you have not been hit by a car before now.
