Yeah, it used to be, but when my account had to be reactivated after 120, something was broken and it gave me the error that my account didn't exist. I had to get a new one, which was quite a bummer, I had a few programs associated with that account.

No, I didn't mean to write "quote", but poll. I guess that's what happens when I'm working on two websites and posting messages on forums during upload time :P (Why isn't there an "emoticon" for brain overload?)

I'll have to agree, pie is yummy.
Pi is > 3.14, as the 3.14_ digit is 1.
Pi is NOT useless. If there was no pi, the world would have a LOT less shirts with nerdy stuff on them. Come on, pi is the classic nerd thing!!

I agree. Such as those for the math teams.

However, your statement "would have a LOT less shirts" should be "would have a LOT FEWER shirts"

Technically, no, but you can still use them. I forget the exact terms, but on the line after the cp statement, you type in a jp (or similar) statement, where the first argument is the term I forgot, and the second term is the label.

I get what you mean... the

jp nc,addr
jp c,addr
jp z,addr
jp nz,addr

stuff? I think that c is greater than and nc is less than or equal to, but I could be wrong. z is equality or zero and nz is not equal or non-zero. (That sounds right to me)

And then there's some more, but I don't use them very often. Parity/Overflow, Sign, etc...

Oh, um.... I read somewhere these different methods on how to calcuale pi, and I can't remember them now... but OMG here's one

Go into windows calculator
Type .5
Hit the factorial key (n!)
Hit the sqaure key (x^2)
Multiply by four (* , 4)
and you'll get PI. That disturbs me more than anything because you can't take a factorial of a non-integer (at least from what we learned back a looooong time ago). I had a guess on how it might work, but it's probably wrong, so I'll just leave it at that. :)

Re: Re: Re: Re: Pi?
dabaxibomb  Account Info

you can take the "factorial" of any positive number (maybe it has to be rational, i dont remember) and any non-integer negative number (maybe it has to be rational). To do this, you have to use the gamma function definition of the factorial function. I forgot the exact formula, but it is an integral involving e. Also, it holds the property that F(x)=x*F(x-1) (Where F is gamma, and x is any number)

Re: Re: Re: Pi?
no_one_2000_  Account Info

Oh yeah, and for e...

Goto Y1 and type (X+1/X)^X
and then keep going to the right of the graph and the farther right you'll go, the more digits of e you'll get. I think that's the equation, anyway... I haven't tried it in a while, so I'm not 100% sure.

I'm probably wrong, so tell me and make me feel dumb if I am :)
