Re: Do you plan to get a TI Keyboard?

Not on my watch... I don't need any more luggage to carry around and I can already type blindfolded the TI-83+ keypad. Another thing I noticed about the TI keyboard is the lack of a number pad. So in order to type numbers you use the ones at the top of the keyboard (pain in the arse) or use the calc keypad (if that's even possible). The only thing I found even slightly interesting was that it comes with a stand for your calc so you don't have to lean over.

Umm...No not really. It will be better just to get a PDA or a Palm. It looks kinda cruddy using a big thing like that on a small TI calculator. I might get it if I get bored. I need reasons to buy it. I'll probably make fun of those who bought the keyboard and use it in class to take notes. For programming it's okay, but you should do that in Notepad anyway. Smell ya later.

I emailed TI a while ago and then they stated that they didn't know if they are going to release the protocol about the keyboard for developers (us programmers).
If the protocol was released or if they offically supported the ti keyboard for the 86 then I might get one. $40 is a bit steep though.

Does some have a copy of The Geometer's Sketchpad for TI-89 you can send me? I think I have discovered how to change the certificate ID of an APP with a hex editor.

Nah...I use the QWERTY app for the 83+ to do notes, so I don't really care. Besides, who'd want to pay $40 bucks for an oversized keyboard? (compared to the calc)

No way. I'd rather take my 1.6MHz laptop to class, fire up MATLAB, then send the results via my academy's wireless network to any nearby printer. I hardly use my 89 anymore except for tests.
