Might I also add that Hideaki Omuro has released a new TI-82 shell which includes support for ROM 19.006

Only 4 people entered under-16...Two for Z80 and 2 for 68K.

are you sure? or are you just saying that since it only lists 4 people for the results?

I was very curious during the judging period, so I inquired how many entered the U-16 contest. TI said it was 4. There you have it. I too must say "holy crap", my flight app won first in z80 U-16. Hooray! Congrats Barrett, and Micheal.

That was true in this case, because there were few entries (although there were many good ones for the 68k platform, including E.W.'s EQW and Mike Grass' and Scott Noveck's programs).

That is completely true! I am living proof of that.

lol.... you would have got a couple hundred bucks worth of crap if you were under 16 and submitted something that says "Hello World!" and then waits until you press enter... there were still prizes left over for both U-16 categories, as well as the over 16 Z80.

Actually, one of my first suspicions was that almost everyone at DS would be judges for it. But, since you and Jason entered, I guess not everyone was (or anyone).

I'm not frustrated...Ask anyone that knows me well and they will tell you I was/am obsessed with getting the calculator robot thing. Which I will be getting now :) (YAY!) Considering I entered a one-quarter finished and buggy application, you deserve to win.

does anyone know what the robot thingy does? is it expensive?

If one was to buy one, I think they're $89 or so. They let you use a 83+ do move this robot around and it has motors and stuff. From what I've heard it's a piece of junk and isn't very good, but I'd love to play with it and make it ram walls and stuff.

$89 without the calc. So, $89+$130=$219. $219+$300=$519. $519+(computer stuff price)=lots 'o' free stuff:)

My app wasn't even a quarter finished. All it had were definitions of a bunch of flight terms, and an extremely crappy/buggy flight simulator.

Well, I can't speak for the others, but I didn't judge. I am pretty sure Dan did, and I have no clue about Brandon.

Brandon Sterner was one of the prize winners, though, so how could he be judging?
