TI APP Development Contest Results
Posted by Eric on 29 September 2001, 22:10 GMT
Well, it's sure been quiet around here lately, but TI has finally announced the winners to their APP Development Contest, which ended on August 15. The winners receive a paid 3-month opportunity to develop application software for TI, a trip to a calculator conference, and lots of other goodies. Congratulations to the winners. Update (Eric): TI has notified me that there was an error on the page that has since been fixed. Brandon Sterner's Symbolic Differentiation App was tied for first place, rather than coming in second.

Sorry, I know this is off topic, but I'm kind of in a hurry and unsure where else to post this.
My TI-89 was just stolen, and I need a reputable but cheap place to buy it again. The first time I bought the 89 I basically paid 149.99 for the calc and 19.99 for an extended warranty. Then after tax, I ended up paying 185 bucks. I'd like to minimize costs this time around, so any help with this would be greatly appreciated. TIA.

I just bought a brand new calc., a ti-89 (HW2 ASM 2.05. I bought this to improve my skills b/c the 83 plus doesnt do much, it just does the basics.
I would really appreciate it if some of you guys would tell me some recommended games to download. Please dont say Super MArio Quest b/c I have it and I know its the best game ever!
So if any of you have any suggestions please post em.
-Thanks

i agree... password pro is pretty gay.. however, in my opinion, it is perfect... the only way someone can know that 2nd, left, right, and On will reset your calc is if THEY have a ti-89, and if they have a ti-89, why would they want to use yours? and if somone sets a password, you are the only person who knows that left, right, 2nd and On will reset your calc, so you can't get locked out of your own calc. and if they DON'T have an 89, and they know that 2nd, left, right, and On will reset the calc, then they are probably some kind of nerd who studies calculators that they don't have, and most people that 'nerdy' are usually pretty honest... - my reasons for using Password Pro
