Ben Mickle Releases Super Mario 86 v0.95
Posted by Nick on 11 December 1999, 19:54 GMT
Ben Mickle has released an update to Super Mario 86 recently with his Super Mario 86 v0.95. A level editor is also available. New features include a host of bug fixes, a level editor *g*, Bowser, more graphics and animation, improved jumping, and of course the support of external worlds. Congratulations to Ben on all the great improvements he's made to an already wonderful game!

Congradulations Ben!
I loved your game before, but now, well, I will have to download it, but it looks/sounds incredible! The level editor is a great improvement! Yippee!

Mario 86 is by far the best game I've ever seen on the 86 :) For those of you who haven't downloaded it, it's DEFINATLY worth the d/l!
The only thing that I can see that would make it nicer is to make the dead enemies leave bodies. Seriously, that's IT. (So you can tell how much I am liking this game.) Also, on the Level Editor, it would be nice to have some sort of moving box (like a Mask field in a graphics editor) that would let you know where your cursor is when the background is blank and the field is blank.
But both of those changes ... don't matter, and just reinforce what I've been trying to say ... this game is an excellent game, and I really commend you, Ben, for making it.

There needs to be some better way of differentiating the two TI-86 Mario games. Usually, the only indication of the difference is "w/grayscale" on Ben's game.
