TiLP2 v1.00 Released
Posted by Michael on 26 September 2006, 05:06 GMT

TiLP2 has finally reached version 1.0! This great linking software has a multitude of improvements over the original TiLP, including USB DirectLink support for the 84+ and 89 Titanium. Download for Windows or UNIX and stick it to TI Connect.

I am having a problem with tilp 2. I try to open it and i get an error:
"Msg: unable to load TiglUsb library.
Cause: is the LPG's SilverLink/DirectLink driver installed ?
System: (2089878321) The handle is invalid."

I am not sure what to do about this. I went to the website and unzipped the xp-64 version of the silverlink and put it in a folder, but i have the same problem. If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated, Thanks

So, where are we supposed to put the tiglusb file after we download it, and what is the stuff about -dev files? I just want TiLP to work so I can transfer a 2 k program file that TI connect won't let me for some very strange reason (I made it, and it's the only one that isn't being sent over. I cannot reset it or all my work is lost on it.)

GAH, When compiling on Ubuntu Linux 6.06, I got the error: needs glib 2.4.0 or greater... I have glib 2.10.something, anyone with more experience on Linux help me?

Libraries in Ubuntu and other binary distributions come in 2 packages:
* libfoo: These are the files required to RUN a piece of software using libfoo.
* libfoo-dev (Debian, Ubuntu etc.) or libfoo-devel (Fedora, SuSE, Mandriva etc.): These are the files required to COMPILE a piece of software using libfoo.

So you have to install the libglib2-dev (or something like that, check packages.ubuntu.com if you're unsure) package.

GAHH! I managed to compile and install TILP2 and libti*2 on Ubuntu 6.06, but I keep getting segmentation faults when trying to use my silverlink (I followed the instructions to mount my silverlink).

You're probably missing the libusb-dev package, so you didn't get USB support built.

In the Ubuntu repositories (main or universe). Search for "libusb" on packages.ubuntu.com, you'll find the -dev package.

Oh, and if you want it easy, use Fedora. ;-)
