Well, how long would it take to get the 60 new users to get to the 48999? I think that might be another interesting statistics...number of people signed up for an account as a function of time. Would it be approximately exponential? That would make sense...or logistic....

I would guess logrithmic, since a certain percent of population will use calculators, and of them, a small percent will have accounts here, and the population growth is logrithmic... Unless TI goes out of bussiness...

I think ticalc.org's new members depend on TI. If they come out with a new calculator, people are most likely going to buy it (because it looks pretty). And then they'll, of course, want games for it, and so they'll come here. I also think around the beginning of each school year, there's a jump in the number of ticalc.org members because that's when most people buy their calculators-- right before school.

wow...that was confusing...at first I thought I had said logarithmic, and that you had corrected me to logistic, so I went in to post, and was all mixed up, and now I realize that I actually was right at first...Anyways, to the ticalc staff: That would be interesting to see...is there any way to find out that information? If there is, I would love to see it or even get data and make the graph myself in excel or something...let me know if this is possible...

Actually, I think that honor belongs to Andy Selle. As I recall, they overhauled the news system many years ago, and they had to reassign the IDs.
