Street Fighter II v0.19 Beta
Posted by Kirk on 8 May 1999, 18:41 GMT

Thomas Corvazier has made a web page available to the public. The web page, among other things, contains the pre-release version 0.19 of the program that was previously posted here; v0.18 for the TI-89 and the TI-92 Plus is available from ticalc.org, while both v0.18 and v0.19 are available at the Street Fighter II web site. English users will want to use Babel Fish or another translator to translate the page from French to English.

SF2 BUG.
Skye

I didnt know if this has already been posted...
but when you use one of the new characters they like to get up to you, crouch and do a low kick.
Now this is impossible to get out of and it has crashed my calc. Come on people, fix the bloody thing!

The 0.19 version is very unstable, they said it. So all these little bugs are normal.
If you want a bugfree game try the 0.18.

Petition
Pro-ticalc-staffers!

I petition ticalc.org to ban the fabled Bryan Rabeler from their web site. I feel he is the most disruptive person in these message boards, he is always off topic(You know bashing you guys), and has nothing positive to say about anything. Just scroll up some, he started a whole string of messages to had nothing to do with this article, but had everything to do with how bad and evil the staff is. If you agree with me or don't, please respond. I would like to hear you opinion about it. I feel Bryan should be banned from posting messages at least, maybe not from the whole web site.

Dreamn

That would be to wonderful, but unfortunalty I think they'll let him continue to run loose until he realizes he is just wasting everybodys time and finds something better and more productive to do. It's unlikly that people will read down here though as this is an older item.

Hmmmm...... plus the obvious question, "How does one ban a person from the messageboards without banning his ISP?"

Re: Invalid Checksum

This is by far the best game I've ever played on a TI calculator, but I can't transfer some of the new charachter files to my calculator because of an "invalid checksum" error. This occurs when my computer tries to send the file to the 89. When the transfer should be nearing completion, the error is genreated by the computer (not the calculator). If anyone knows how to fix this problem, I would appreciate your help.

Does any one know where the version with all the characters are? I've been to the French site, but the download doesn't work. I've been looking everywhere for the new version.

Street Fighter is and has always been a great and outstanding game. Now that it is capable of being played where most students or people can play it, it is a better opportunity for Capcom to raise thier standards. You know they have already gained some by coming out with Street Fighter Alpha(all versions). What I am wondering though is who made this game. Was it Capcom, Bill Nagel, some ordinary gamers, etc. If you find out PLEASE let me know. Thank You.
