Re: March 1999 POTM Results
lame

You guys are really desperate for news aren't you? I hope the winners aren't going to be posted every month like this.

Um. We thought that lots of people would be interested in who wins the Program of the Month. Not everyone is subscribed to our newsletters. And yes, we probably will post them every month, or maybe not. We don't really know yet. But it certainly isn't filler... you'll know filler when you see it (which you won't).

Why precisely do you feel it is lame Mr. Rabeler? What would you like posted instead?

the comment with the author "lame" had that same IP 35.9.48.239

and so did the one you just posted (that I'm replying too)

Who really cares if Bryan posted that or not! Oh, I get it, you think Bryan is the only on who thinks the news quality has gone down the drain also... Well I think so too!

Even if this was Bryan, which I'm guessing it was, you shouldn't invade his privacy by releasing his name. If you didnt appreciate his post, you could have deleted it. What Bryan posted may have been wrong, but you still shouldn't have told all the people who view this site that it was him, when he obviously wanted to stay anonymous.

Re: Re: Re: Re: March 1999 POTM Results

At least the DimTi guys have some semblance of common sense and decency. Perhaps Ticalc should take a few lessons????

     11 April 1999, 04:35 GMT

Better than deleting
ldspartan

I think that responding to an entirely badly written flame is better than just deleting, particularly when you have a good idea who it is.

     11 April 1999, 05:48 GMT

or not
uhmm...

SWEET JEEZ!

I rarely read all these comments, but it seems like every time I do you guys make a freakin' huge deal out of nothing. One guy said somethin, another guy said somethin else, and all of a sudden it's the moral delemna of the century?

"What Bryan posted may have been wrong, but you still shouldn't have told all the people who view this site that it was him"

Give me a break! You act like the guys privacy has been majorly invaded and that we must take immediate action or something.

     11 April 1999, 06:06 GMT

Re: or not
Tyler

I think I agree with him. It seems as though ever time you guys reply you make a huge deal out of nothing. Just a simple persons humble observations.

Re: Re: March 1999 POTM Results
Paul

What did bryan say that was wrong? He was giving his opinion, whether you agree with it or not, you have absolutely no right to post his identity. Its called a breach of privacy guys. This site is becoming quite despotic in nature INMO.

     11 April 1999, 03:44 GMT

Re: Re: March 1999 POTM Results
me

i agree with this comment. you guys are running out of news, so you use anything you can as an excuse to post something. it is kind of lame. and you don't have the right to say someone said something if they wanted to stay anonymous, whether you are right or wrong about their identity.

     11 April 1999, 04:12 GMT

Re: Re: March 1999 POTM Results
Justin
(Web Page)

Something is obviously wrong. People are very cranky. No one's (myself icluded) comment's from the last few news articles have actually actually been relevant to the article. That doesn't happen when the news is interesting. Why not post a survey? That would make sense. Wouldn't you like to know what people think of your news? Wouldn't you like to know what people think about you giving up people's anonymity? Wouldn't you like to know how many people think firing Bryan was like cutting of your left nut when it came to the news? ... Dammit.
