Anyone else notice that the TI-Files no longer has an add on their page? I guess they couldn't find anyone dumb enough to advertise on their crappy site.

Yes, this is on topic with the Dim Ti's money making scheme article because it will fail as well.

I opposed to TI-Files using ads on their page to make money, too. But you see, there is a difference. For one thing, we are not trying to make money. If we dont make a cent, we won't be upset. We are not going to lose money. We are doing this a service to the TI Community, to try to offer the lowest prices. If we fail, so what. It's a test right now, and we definately won't lose anything.

No, the Ti-Files was only doing ads as a test run. They decided not to do them anymore, simple as that. Plus, they had plenty of offers to advertise, but since they decided early not to advertise anymore, they declined.

Uh...Emp...nice try. TI-Files DOES have a ad up right now...and no, they didn't get any more offers...I just talked to matt this morning :P...basically your post is a 100% lie.

I think this is dumb. Your stupid Adam. I'm sorry, but you are. You said you wanted profit, now your saying you don't care if you make it or not. grow up and make up your mind!

This is an irrelivent, and very improper statement for this forum.

If you have a problem with someone's action's, take it up with them, not the world. You are the one that needs to grow up.

b) If you don't have the courage to show your name, then I feel no obligation to respond to you

So, is this shipping 7.50 for the TI-92 Plus module too?

Dang, I wish I would have had that for Calc 3! :)

No, TI-92+ Modules cost $6 for shipping, so that's 72.50 + 6.00 = $78.50

I think this is a great idea! I only wish ticalc.org was doing it instead of Dimension TI. :P I would purchase a calc from them if I needed one, but I just bought my TI-89 a month ago. I hope this idea works for them.

So how many 89's are actually in stock? Are there plenty?

Speaking of the manuals adding so much weight, that doesn't seem like a bad suggestion. A lot of people like myself have had to replace their calculators because they were stolen or whatnot. And then there's that incesive problem with screens going bad (Office Depot will the calc. for you though). And some people just refuse to use a manual :)

Perhaps if TI would offer an OEM version of their claculators to distributors, it would save us all some money and troubles.

Of course that might be too much trouble for TI, but it's just a suggestion

Re: Graph Link Cables
Jason K.

Are the Graph Link Cables being sold, one's from TI or crappy homemade ones? Dont mind the word crappy, because Im sure theyre of excellent quality by whoever your provider is (Come on, Tell us...), But they would not be compatible with alot of stuff otherwise... Well, I think TI should do like a poll on people who would want to buy their _Professional_ Cabels, and then lower the price to 15 dollars from 30... If they got great enough of a demand then they would even out on the money... That would be great and I think Everyone should get a Graphlink... =P

They're the real ones...$24 plus $3.75 shipping and handling.

Re: Re: Re: Graph Link Cables

(counterfeit graphlinks...snicker) They aren't the real ones, they are the original ones! (Not necessarily the best, but they are the most reliable. Unless you don't know how to use one.)

TI-89s vary with availability. TI-92+ Modules are always in stock - they are sent out the next day. TI-89s, well, it depends when you ask :)

ticalc.org's buy/sell feature and Dimension-TI's purchasing could not be any less related. At Dimension-TI, we sell NEW calculators from a TI Calculator distributer. Also, ticalc.org has no knowledge of any transactions that may occur with their buy&sell section... but at Dimension-TI, all orders go through us. I just can't see your reasoning here.

About the shipping cost. It really does cost alot to ship things these days. Yes Priority Mail is only $3 for 2 lbs, but that does not include the special handling charges for extra care. Most of the time "GOOD" shipping will cost you $5 to $10 for 2-7 lbs package.

Another thing I would like to comment on. DIM TI will eventually get tried of doing all of the work for nothing and start wanting profit. I used to sell link cables for $10 dollars and made $.38 cents profit. You have to have a little something to help you out.

I do not like the idea about the purchasing anyway, because they will eventually (that is if they can last without wanting profit) put small "COMPANIES" like TI-Central out of business. So we have a new idea. Just wait DIM TI...You may not have been as smart as you thought!

That is all.

Thanks for your time,
Cody Clark

But you see, we are really not trying to make a profit. I've run Dimension-TI for over a year now without making a cent. And the way we have this set up, selling the calculators is very little work on our part. We have no need for a profit. If anything, in the future, I hope to lower the prices.

Re: Re: Dimension TI sells calculators and link cables

TI Central's prices are even higher than most stores, especially when you add shipping. Dimension-TI DOES make a small profit, which will be used for the site. Seems like a perfectly good idea to me...
