There will be soonly a new release of PCTOOLS 98.
A lot of features have been added : compression,
new way to create nested folder, move folder option,
new format of plugin, a new version of Api92 with
a nice SDK, a version for the TI-89...
Maybe within a month !

I am not directly writing an TI-92 Plus program but it works on it , too . It's an boot screen which uses extfunc for an battery status and an exchangeable pic file of full screen size . It's core is written in basic so you can customize it , an gui to edit configurations comes after on . It runs first an var named pwd ( mainly pwd for password security ) and then matrix ( self-explaining ) . As said , it just runs the vars - you can name any other program , screensaver or password protection pwd or matrix . It has to be auto-start so amsextender or any other utility is recommended . It's currently in second main-private vesion , the final private one will get uploaded as first public one .

I have a program in mind (ASM) that would allow you to send programs and maybe other types of data to other calculators. If you assigned a hex number to every character (a-z, A-Z, 0-9, + , -, *, /, and greek symbols) on the calculator, then transformed a program imto this hex code, sent it over a link onto another's calculator, and had his program identical to mine (made for the type of calculator he or she has) translate the code back into charcters and pasted it into a program of the same name as the original program. It would be done this way rather than translating a program into another calcs way of reading it so that I wouldn't have to make 42 different programs, only 7. I just need help as I am not affluent in Z80 ASM, and can't even contemplate 68000 ASM. I do not expect to be able to run 86 programs on an 83, just so that I can make 83 programs for friends and use my 86 to pass them on.

I am hoping to build a 'Shell' for the Ti-92 plus that will enable the execution of assembly programs, as well as Basic. It will also include built in functions such as an organizer, and a calendar, etc. This will help you keep more organized and efficient.
Hope to finish during early march!
visit www.dtlogic.webprovider.com for more details.
By the way, please email me if you have any suggestions for add-ins, etc.

I am planning to write an organizer program for the TI-92+ (in BASIC) that will utilize the powerful matrix features that the calculator has. There is not much else added to this program yet, so if you have any comments, questions, and\or suggestions, I'd love to hear from you!

BASIC 92+ OS Coming Soon!
|
Mammoth_Mk.2
|
I'm in the process of making a fully functional OS in BASIC. Since I'm using FLib to do it, it should run pretty fast compared to an ordinary OS made with regular commands. But this will have many more options, uses full screen (no menu), has grouping (I dont think doorsos can do this...), compressing of files and even more too come! It's currently in the contruction phase so Version 1.00 wont be out for a little while.
Future plans for the OS after its release are still underway. Such as:
- Larger more specific file registery (the one that it uses now is pretty slow)
- Nice looking graphics for the OS will be release as a new version because it will look completely different, and features will be reorganized and have different ways to access them. Hopefully it will be more 'User Friendly'
Best thing about this OS is it requires only 3 Files to run so far (and I don't think I'll need more) and its made in BASIC but doesnt run as slow as basic (thanks to FLib :)
Version:
- Under Construction (not even beta yet...)
Release Date:
- T.B.A. (To Be Announced)
I will post with more news if something occurs
