Question
|
Why was my program rejected for a news item?
|
Answer
|
There are many reasons why some programs are not deemed “newsworthy.”
First, the program may have certain problems like major bugs or a clumsy user
interface. It may be that the program is well written but is only useful to such
a small set of users that it would not be well suited for our main page. A program
may meet all of the criteria, but its concept may simply have been implemented
before and has thus lost originality. At different times during the year, the number
of new programs varies. During peak periods, there is more competition for news
articles. All of these factors and others can affect whether a program is featured or not.
