OK, I answered the question incorrectly. And because of this. I'm not telling. And it wouldn't let me change my vote. Not that it really matters.

Yeah, I though it meant: "Have you ever voted in a survey" or "Have you ever made a comment in a survey." Although I have made some suggestions on the respond part. Here's a good one: I will send it to survey@ticalc.org: Has a spammer ever though you have owned ticalc.org?

Well, here is an idea I had a while back: Store your answers in a database. Then, if you try to vote again, it will take a vote away from your old choice and add one to your new choice. This would probably take some space, though, but I don't think that ticalc.org is cramped for space (how many gigs of files do you have?)

space is not the concern, privacy is. Imagine a country (for me, canada) having an election where you write your names on your ballets. Even though it is kept secure, there is always a probability someone could hack the ballot (or server) and get the (user)names (IPs, maybe too). It would be nice to be able to change your vote, but I don't trust encryption.

Encryption is safe enough - unless someone actually hands out the key.

Any way why don't people just actually read what's there carefully before voting - then you won't make a mistake.

Here might be a better way to change vote in these ticalc surveys: e-mail ticalc and ask them to change your vote. That way things would pretty much be private and each person gets to vote the way they want.

The surveys are the one of the best parts of ticalc.org Because I have no life, that's what I do most of the day is go the news archives and such, and watch Monty-Python. w00t!

Parade for monty python lovers!!

no_one, errr..., I mean, nobody really cares about the content of the surveys since it's not like it means anything, especially the non-calc related ones, so it's ok to be off topic, for a little bit.

I agree, off-topic os OK.
It's like the thing about burning CD's. The law says no, but there is no way they can really check it out.
Speaking of CD's and being off-topic, have you heard about the thing Sony did that was in a recent issue of Business Week? They spent a lot of $$ on a burn-proof CD and a 20 cent marker, when used on the perimeter of the CD, can overwrite it?
Fell free to burn those CD's!!!!!

It does not matter what number post you do, but that you get your point accross.
