Yes, calculators promote blind calculations which precludes mathematical intuition and deeper understanding.

I don't think that it is the calculators fault, i think that it is two factors.
1: It's the people's fault. they neeed to learn self control and practice their skills
2: The U.S. government is so F*cked up from the liberals, that any idiot can get into college (.etihw reiht sselnu)

I believe that graphing calcs are to blame. It's human nature to be lazy and when you can, you'd probably let your calculator do something for you. I don't feel like I'm dumb as a result, but I am certainly more lazy and may forget something more easily.

Well, my opinion is that as the complexity of math increases, the tech needed to do it also increases. It's not making people dumber, just less dependant on advanced skills that only mathematicians need nowadays. People are still learning.

Okay first I'd like to say that if people take the time to learn the math because they like math is great. But people who are forced to take the class for some reason or another probably will say "I don't have to learn this because there is a function which can do it for me". In some cases yes, knoledge of math is decreasing.
