Re: What was the average of all your AP scores? (Rounded to the nearest integer, not just this year!)

My high school is weird... it's some kind of special state-enforced school that doesn't have AP exams. Is that a bad thing or a good thing? :-)

There's something great about averages...in order to get a four average, you could get an equal number of threes and fives, or straight fours.
Hah. Out of eight exams (seven w/Calc AB subscore), seven of them (excluding the subscore) had scores of 4. The exam I thought I would get a 5 on (Statistics) and the one I thought I would get a 1 on (Physics), 4. Even US History. It was just kinda frightening, seeing that same number on all those scores...
Oh, well. Does anyone know if the subscore counts as an exam, as far as the National AP Scholar Award is concerned?

I'm assuming non-math/science courses don't count, so I excluded my 2 in Latin from my average :)

I took my first two AP courses last year ( my Junior year )and took the tests at the end of the year. I took the one for AP Biology and Us History in may of this year. I checked out my scores via the phone service on the first of July. I got 5's on both. It doesn't suprise me either. In both class I had the highest grade. In Biology a 101% and in History a 98%. Plus I'm pretty sure I got really high 5's. Both of the teachers loved me throughout the year. I even started a homework group to help the people who were hgaving trouble in that class. I built a web site for it too. I had a really easy time with the tests too; each one was pretty simple. My only complaint was my teacher didn't teach beyond 1950 so anything beyond that I wasn't too sure, but I studied that era by myself. I used plenty of study aids too. HOw 'bout everyone else?

AP Human Geo

Hey, I just heard about a new AP test at our school (maybe new altogether) called AP Human Geography. Does anyone know anything about this? I was planning on taking Human Anatomy next year, and it would be grand if I could get college credit for it. Most of the teachers label it as "hardest class at this school." Thanks on any info one may provide.

I didn't take any real AP tests this year, but my honors chem class took an AP test from a few years back to see how we would do if we were given it. Out of 17 people, I was the only one given a 5 ... the class average otherwise seemed to be around a 3, probably because it had some topics on it that the class hadn't learned yet. Rah for old college chemistry textbooks and too much time on one's hands.
Next year (11th grade) I'll be taking three AP exams: AP Spanish, AP Biology, and AP Economics ... how are those?
