This must be an all time low, as survey questions go... Isn't this suposed to be an 'International calculator site', not an 'American highschool calculator site' . The server is located in Sweden and has a lot of swedes visiting, but you don't se Magnus adding questions about the swedish 'Högskoleprovet' , do you? Väx up, för fan!

That's probably why the "I didn't or won't ever take AP tests" option is currently "in the lead" :-)

BTW, you are always welcome to mail suggestions for surveys to survey@ticalc.org. Of course, we can't guarantee that it will be up, but we'll consider it.

Oh, and I'm convinved this survey was posted right now just because Henrik is on vacation :-)

I agree. Although I am myself American, I as tired of many Americans' seeming to think that the USA is the only country that counts. (I apologize if my Swedish is a little wrong. It's 3:30a.m. and Swedish is not my native language)

You just did the 'how old are you' survey, and unless I'm mistaken most people weren't AP level. Furthermore there should be a 'I don't know' option.

You don't know your AP test average? You should really find out. There are scholarships you can apply for if the average is high enough.

An AP (Advanced Placement) test is a special test by the College Board (same guys who bring you the SAT) that allows you to get credit for college classes without taking them. Since you'd use your graphing calculator on the calculus test (it's required) this poll is perfect for a site about graphing calculators. (After all, math is what calculators are made for, as some people seem to forget sometimes)

No it is NOT perfect. There are other users of calculators than american highschool students.

I am always to find out how many AP classes there are that my school does not offer. I'm taking three AP classes next year (Biology, American History, and English III) and four more my senior year (Government, English IV, Physics and Enviromenta). Those about all the AP courses they offer at my school.

Huh?
AP scores?
Grr... egocentric US inhabitants! Just because 90% of you are from the US doesn't give you the right to ask questions like that! I spit in your general direction!
I vote all us european types make a hostile takeover of TiCalc.org and turn it into a /truly/ international site (multiple languages, all badly translated, dodgy grammar, unfunny jokes, friction between members... maybe not then)... then the TI Community can expand!
Up The Revolution!
And if you delete this post, I'm gonna KILL YOU! ;) It's a valid, if OTT, point...

Perhaps.
But I reckon the rest of the world has some good artists too. Just... not in the same quantities as the US does.

No! Babelfish is the best for terrible translations! My brother, who's web site I can't remember (sad, isn't it?) took one of his pages, translated it into French, back to English, German, English, and so on for all the languages. It was funny.

Not! Babelfish is that best for terrible translations! My brother, the location Web is I not to remember cannot (regret-worth is not it?) one from their pages took it translated into French again at the English, German, of English and and so on for all languages. It was strange.

It's important to ask specific questions sometimes that apply to only certain people (eg. people who take AP courses). Also AP courses are for anyone who is willing to take them on. There is no law that states that only Americans can take them. This survey is made for AP students and for their benefit. If you don't like the survey, then don't participate.
BTW I'm 100% czech. born and raised there...

I took AP Computer Science A, got a 5.

Scores:
AP Comp. Sci. - 5
AP Calculus BC - 5
AP History - 3
AP Statistics - 4
AP Physics - 3
(In physics the teacher hardly had us do ANYTHING, just mostly told submarine stories. I'm glad I passed)

Oh yeah, I forgot, my Calculus AB subscore was 5 too, and the only score I see better than mine, is Statistics, by 1 point. Had I taken Macroeconomics, Goverment, English, Chemistry... I would have had a lot more homework last year! As it was, I did NONE.

I wasn't comparing it on a test-by-test basis; I was referring to our overall scores. Since we both took mostly math/science tests, I think it's a fair comparison.
