I think ticalc.org needs to show more screenshots and in depth news items, and less "partridge in a pear tree" type news items with 4+ tidbits of news, even though they are funny.

I really didn't expect to generate this much feedback. I like that people respect my opinion that much. I don't think I was that clear in what direction I think the news articles should go to.
I like the informality of the news articles, I just think that when you put news about 5 things in one article, there isn't much information that someone viewing the page can see about that program. I think that informality is great, since it makes me (and others) have a greater sense of belonging (i would have used comaraderie, but that word sounds kind of gay and I am unsure about the correct spelling) to the ti community. It also helps someone who may not have that great of a technical knowledge feel comfortable with the topic.
As to what I would like to see, a more in-depth analysis of the new/updated programs than:
"Sam Heald ported Wormy v1.0 to the 82. This is a port of Matt Shepcar's incredibly 31337 game. Aside from the *ahem* cryptic readme, this game is really good. Check it, yo!"
Now, if I did not know Sam Heald, or hadn't heard of the fabulous trig routines that Shepcar made for this game, I would probably bypass this game, since there was not really information about it. What I would have liked to seen is some information about what separates this game from the traditional snake clones, the non-orthagonal, 360 degree motion. A screenshot would have looked nice also. But this game was only a port, so it shouldn't have gotten a news item.
Nevertheless, you should be able to get my drift from this longer message. Thanks for your concern,
-harper
