My survey idea...except I couldn't come up with a clever "Other" choice this time around :( Not to say that any of the others I've written are clever...

Calendar, todo list, phone numbers, you name it.

I find it too much of a hastle to go into the calendar program and edit each day. I have a regular (paper) calendar, in which I keep all of my events in. If I had the ti-keyboard, my vote might be different.

same here. It just takes too long to type without a real keyboard.

get a v200 or a 92+ they have qwerty keyboards and are very easy to use, i can type notes fo class and stuff

calculators are for math.

Why would someone purchase a laptop for note taking? I spend about 1/2 - 1 hour a day on my 89T, and thanks to muscle memory, I get about 25 wpm!

25wpm? Ha! I get at least 40-50 wpm on good days.

I have a device called a AlphaSmart Neo (see web link) that I use specifically for taking notes. It's like Microsoft Word or "WordPad" but in a small keyboard.

It's probably equivelant(sp?) to Notefolio App

I also have a Dell Laptop (just got it working right again after reformatting HD with WinXP for the ... time this year...)

I'll probably use this once I'm in college. It'll be better than a keyboard.

i am inclined to disagree with you...
calculators are for life.
laptops are for people who theink they are to good for calculators

I agree: my 83+ is basic maths, my slide rule is for multiplication and division, my v200 is for mobile computing, and my laptop is a small-footprint desktop with built-in protection from power outages.

Yeah, you can't carry around a laptop in your pocket. Besides, it's just overkill to buy a whole laptop with a high-resolution screen, large hard drive, powerful processor, etc. just to take a few notes where a calc would work just as well with a keyboard.

I have a brain, it works well. I think that other people should try it.

My processor and hard drive are fine, but I'm a little short on RAM. That's why I like to store things on my calc.

I absolutely agree. If you can remember it, why bother with a planner? It's safer this way, too; no paper planners or even calculators to forget and leave somewhere...

I keep all of my assignments in my head, unless it's math homework, in which case the assignments are something like this: "Page 377-379, #1-5,8-8!,24 & 27." Then it gets kind of confusing and I store it as a string.

last semester my math teacher must have looked at the problems and chosen onts that she wanted us to do cause she just gave us semingly arpitrayr problems to do.

If i deem homework important,(Which i rarely do) then i store it in a prgm, that way i don't have to worry about deleting or rewriting a string, since i might forget what it is.

I agree, if you don't remember it, it probably wasn't very important anyway. :)
