My TI-92+'s snap-on lid is fine, but "No, & the sliding case seems no good, either" would apply to my poor old TI-86, so often the victim of annoying people wanting to see what I was doing (& then it falls to the floor, they get scared, & usually never bother it again).

Soft cases? Hard cases? I don't think so.
Real men carry their calculators in a calculator hip holster (CH^2). See URL for me practicing my draw several years ago.
You should also keep a backup TI-36X solar in an ankle holster just in case your batteries go dead. It could save your life in a shootout.

I know the feeling, I have retired my TI-85 to only be used for simple stuff like adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing, and solving pi (yeah, it cannot be done, I said this only to make you laugh (as the one reading this text on your computer, pda, cellphone, or possibly your calculator)).
