Where is only reachable by trans-phasic shielding? In the core? People have made it to the bottom of the Challenger Deep in the Marianas Trench without any shielding whatsoever. Then you've got to be in lava… just like those cool beasties in Surface.

I was in the US Navy for 6 years. I was stationed on a submarine named the USS Parche SSN 683. One time we stayed under water for 100 days.

Well, I live in Reunion Island. That's a French island, but it is located in the Indian ocean, near Mauritius (and not too far from Madagascar). But geographically, that counts for Africa. :)
