I didnt have the cash either but i got my 84plus on the black market. LOL
I traded him an 83plus and 30 dollars for it.
At the time i had 2 83plus's. Someone actually gave me one for free because he lost his and bought another one and then found it again. He knew I programmed so he figured i could use it. and he just gave it to me. How lucky am I
Later i couldnt stand it anymore and I bought an 89T. I now am ashamed to say that I own 3 calculators. an 83 plus, 84 plus, and an 89T. Im trying to sell my 83 though
:o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o) :o):o)

IT's quite possible to use several programming languages (on diff. calcs) to work off any bugs on other calculators. It's a great way of releasing a prog (if you actually programm) to many calcs.

Telling a girl that you have 3 graphing calculators isnt really a turn on. Come too think of it that may be the best way to find the right girl the one that doesnt dump you on the spot it the right one.LOL :):):):)

Saying "LOL" and using :) alot turns them on, too.
Although, the supreme power of saying "120d" beats the crap out of all of that.

No, the ultimate attraction for girls is telling them that you single-handedly rewrote the scheduler for the 2.6.X linux kernel and have a completely customized build of it running on your machine at this very moment. ;-)

I always completely customize my kernel.

make menuconfig

Or do you mean customizing it in a way that will break when you apply the diffs for the next version?

I meant customization more as adding code for your own personal reasons, not something you apply as a patch to the official kernel.

Exactly! I am the all-purpose repair man for Calcs in whatever class I'm in. It may not be a turn-on but at the very least I gain respect, lol :)

My 83+ is "fritzy," to say the least. It randomly refuses to up date the display. It still does things, like a reset, but the display seems to care little. Also, the screen seems to wrap in an upward direction so that the top line is now the bottom line, ot second to bottom line. It is impossible to work with.

Say, wasn't there a VTI for the palm, or something?

I dont know if the program Codex will help for this problem... You could try, it has routines to scroll up the screen or so. I never tried it, though.

I have my sister's TI-81, a Ti-83, and a Ti-89. I won't get a Tiatanium because it looks bad. I mean the case, the shape of the case is soooooo ugly

i agree 89 ti's are ugly, and what's the deal with the 84+ and 89 ti buttons, do they really think they're are going to sell more just because they put some buttons slightly off centered?
